Great view, right next to the plane tracks, you can see planes taking off and landing.
Service was great too.
Food was ok. I ordered the surf and turf, steak wasn’t cooked right. But it’s not a steak house, so maybe the other dishes could be better.

Pros: The Hungry Pilot is our go to neighborhood bar. We know that we’re going to get great service when we walk in and see Jess behind the bar. She has made this our favorite place to go for happy hour. Luis is also a great bartender and doesn’t disappoint. Usually have great service from any of the servers when sitting at a table.
Areas for improvement: Food is usually good but not consistent – sometimes we’ll get sauces that go with the dish and sometimes we don’t. Burgers aren’t cooked to ordered temperature – order medium if you want well and not dry. Taste of dishes is not always consistent and the same dish can taste different.
Cons: Will not sit at the bar if we walk in and see the newer gentleman, Tom, behind the bar. We don’t mind talking and interacting with our bartender but he is quite obnoxious.

The HP is a pleasant restaurant offering a variety of pub fare. The service is polite and efficient. They have very reasonably priced lunch specials at about $10. For that price the food is very good.
Now I am not a good snob but I will Eat most thingS. (Former military) I do find the flavors simple and I prefer more intense and complex.
The atmosphere is pleasant and it is always nice to see the occasional aircraft doing takeoffs and landings.

We’ve ordered food for pickup before but yesterday was the first time we decided to stop in for dinner since we live in the area. I had not been in, so I was curious to see this tiny airport in person. Their little lounge is so cute! I hope one day I get to wait for a private jet there ☺️
As for The Hungry Pilot, we were surprised at how busy it was considering how tucked away it is. They had live music which was great (can’t remember the gentleman’s name). Upon being seated, the hostess invited us to participate in the Kentucky Derby game they were holding & explained that if the horse we chose, won the race, we would win a $25 gift card to the restaurant. Since the race was due to take place while we were having dinner (& they had it playing on multiple screens throughout) we gave it a go.
I ordered my usual: fig jam smash burger & per usual, it was outstanding! My wife had the Hungry Pilot burger which she also enjoyed. I also tried their non-alcoholic cran-apple ginger fizz (I think that’s what it’s called) & found it surprisingly refreshing.
It was raining so no planes were coming or going but we were sat next to the window so I got a chance to look around the outside where they have fire pits & picnic tables. My wife & I decided we will have to return later in the summer & sit out there to see what the vibes are like. Bet they’re great with good friends & a drink.
By the way, our horse, Final Gambit, came in 4th so no gift card for us but we are also gonna try their Trivia Tuesdays…maybe we’ll win something then

The Hungry Pilot was a wonderful experience! We hosted my dad’s 80th birthday party there (a group of about 20) as my dad is a retired Air Force pilot and the idea of a party where we could watch planes take off and land was really cool. Working with the owner Lucas was fantastic. He took care of everything and the party went off without a hitch. Our server, Kelly, was so friendly, attentive and efficient. The food was great and so affordable. The restaurant is a relatively small space, so I want to be clear that it’s not great for parties any bigger than ours, but there was plenty of space for other diners while we were there and we didn’t feel like that was intrusive to our party. Highly, highly recommend for a unique, delicious spot to grab a bit and enjoy a view unlike anything you’ll get at other restaurants!

I love visiting here, especially on Wednesday wing nights. My server Jami is always awesome and the food is tasty. Wish I could give 5 stars, but I’ve noticed that it’s so cold in there I often think twice about going, especially lately. No sense in shivering over a plate of wings when I could eat more comfortably somewhere else…

Fantastic menu, customer service, and dinning atmosphere! The planes and helicopters taking off while you dine makes for a truly unique environment that adds to the experience. The menu is smaller and well thought out. The pricing is great in that nothing is cheap in quality but not over priced either. My wife got the prime dip and loved it. I highly recommend the Brandywine Burger. The sweet potato tots are good as well. The bar had a great selection if you’re thirsty. This is a great American dinner and I will be back again for sure.

So I want to start off with the positive, the sweet potato tots are really good, the fries were seasoned well and the portions were ok. The primerib dip and the grilled cheese dip were a huge let down. The meat wasn’t seasoned at all and the au jus had no taste, it was like dipping my sandwich into lukewarm brown tinted water. We also got a hamburger that was mediocre.
I’m hoping it was just an off day but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here again. It was definitely too expensive for the quality.
I gave 2 stars because the staff was nice when I went in and I did get right in and out and the couple of positives. I hate giving such a low rating for a local business but I couldn’t not give my feed back on this one.

I have been waiting so many years to see a restaurant open back up here. Finally it has happend. Such a unique and relaxing atmosphere. Everyone is very friendly. Service was great. Lots to try on the menu. The burger was perfectly cooked. The wings and different sauces were on point! Chipotle honey was my favorite.
Its really great to see the jets and small prop planes come in and out. Its a real airport experience!
