My boyfriend and I went here for datenight because I had seen a tiktok or fb reel and it looked like a nice fine dinning place to try.
First off, I thought the atmosphere was decent, although the setup was odd.
Food was just ok. The mushroom crepe was blah and the cheese bread was good. The chicken breast was very tasty with the tarragon mushroom sauce. It was a good size portion too, and it came with a “side” of roasted vegetables (peppers) and potatoes. The veal was just ok. For desserts, the chocolate and wine sponge cake was dense and dry and the cheesecake was so sour it was not edible. The service was also ok, not the best. Probably won’t eat here again.

We came to Three Musketeers for Valentine’s Day and did the prix fixe menu that we preordered. The vibe inside is a little strange, but in a way that gives the place some character. It definitely feels unique. They also had a solid wine selection, which we appreciated for the occasion.

Service was friendly and perfectly fine — nothing over the top, but welcoming and attentive enough. The food was pretty good overall, though it didn’t quite blow me away.

The only real disappointment was dessert. Even though we had preordered it, they ran out and substituted gelato instead. The gelato was good, but it was still a bit of a bummer, especially on a holiday with a set menu.

Overall, we had a nice experience and I’d be curious to come back on a regular night to try the standard menu.

Review for The Three Musketeers Restaurant, Crystal River

What a romantic, special evening we had tonight at The Three Musketeers in Crystal River. This gem of a restaurant is so far above anything else in the area—it feels like you’ve stepped into another world.

Nestled in Crystal River’s historic district, the setting is pure enchantment: 100-year-old oaks draped in Spanish moss, gazebos adorned with twinkling string lights, linen-draped tables, and a courtyard where every plant seems to have been placed with intention by the owners. The atmosphere is intimate and romantic—without question, the most magical dining spot in town.

The menu is truly succulent, a farm-to-table masterpiece that delights from the very first bite. We began with freshly baked bread paired with a specialty Eastern European cheese—simple, yet unforgettable. The fennel salad, with pear and arugula, was refreshing and bright. The parpadelle pasta with shiitake and chanterelle mushrooms was rich and earthy. The grilled octopus was perfectly tender, each bite a revelation. Every dish felt like a work of art, far removed from the standard fried fare so common elsewhere.

The wines, sparkling wines, cocktails, and beers are thoughtfully chosen, elevating the evening into something celebratory. And the service? Absolutely impeccable. Our hostess Analiese was outstanding—warm, gracious, and attentive in every detail. The chef herself came out to greet us, and the entire staff made us feel like royalty.

Part of the magic here lies in the story: the father is the builder, the mother the architect, and the daughter the chef—what a perfect trilogy of talent and heart. Together, they’ve created not just a restaurant, but an experience.

We are so grateful we chose The Three Musketeers for our last night in Crystal River. We walked from our lodge and discovered what may well be the most unique and enchanting dining experience in town. This is not just dinner—it’s a memory to savor.

The restaurant is nice, most of the food was good except the lamb was so hard that we couldn’t cut it with a knife. I cook lamb at least once a week and I know that lamb is a tender meat. We did order it well done but it actually wasn’t really cooked well done. It was just hard as a rock. We are locals and we would go back but when we couldn’t eat the lamb or even cut it with a knife, they blamed us for ordering it well done. A young girl (the chef) came out and told us that they changed their lamb and she was aware that it is tougher than it used to be. They refused to even deduct a percentage for the lamb dish. Sad, because we won’t be back now. Not good customer service.

Server: like a shy 12 year old who didn’t know what they were doing. Completely forgot the espresso I ordered. – Meal: mediocre – wasn’t bad, but didn’t impress either. Just, o.k. – Dessert: total disappointment. I get that European cheesecake isn’t sweet, and that’s fine. But it should be savory. This was neither. It was 95% extremely sour berries, and a tiny, tiny bit of “cheesecake”. I couldn’t eat it. Much, much too sour. – Ambience: dining area is a total of 9 tables. It’s basically a narrow hallway. Tables are much too close together. You can hear the conversation of every table and everyone is watching you eat. Too close for comfort.

We dined at the Three Musketeers Restaurant last night.
It was the best dining experience ever. For appetizers, we got the mushroom crêpe and Spanish octopus. Both were heavenly. For mains, we got the Red Snapper and beef skewers. Both are to die for. Tender and delicious. The food came out in a timely fashion and it was beautifully presented. Shout out to the 22 year old chef lady who’s taking fine dining to a whole new level. Can’t wait to be back and try all the other items on the menu. We will be their best customer.

What a wonderful little restaurant in downtown Crystal River! We thoroughly enjoyed a dessert and coffee tonight. This is a sophisticated and upscale place that is a great addition to our area. The service was great, atmosphere was wonderful and dessert was delicious. We will definitely be back for a full meal next time.
Sorry, no pics to share since I forgot to bring my phone/camera so I couldn’t post anything.

We went there last night. Food was great! Service very attentive. Had the octopus as an appetizer and the scallops and sea bass as entrees. Food was great. Very romantic , private place. Not very big. Had the crepe with peaches as desert. That needed a little something like home made whipped cream or maybe a little confectioners sugar sprinkled on it. But it too was good. Will definitely go back
