My husband and I are regulars here, and for good reason… the food is absolutely delicious!!! The spicy Chinese fish noodles are our favorite: full of bold flavor, just the right amount of heat, and always perfectly cooked. The quality is consistently great, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. It’s our go-to spot when we’re craving something flavorful and comforting. Highly recommend this place!!!

We had a wonderful dining experience here. The dishes were beautifully presented and clearly made with care. everything arrived fresh, hot, and incredibly flavorful. The Boneless Pork Trotters was especially memorable, perfectly balanced with smoky, savory notes and tender textures. The Century Egg Salad was rich and authentic, with deep flavors that paired perfectly with rice.

Portions were generous and ideal for sharing, and the food felt both hearty and thoughtfully prepared. The simple, clean presentation and tableware added to the overall experience, making the meal feel relaxed yet refined.

Overall, a satisfying and delicious meal that we truly enjoyed it

Sofun serves truly authentic Hunan rice noodles. The beef noodle soup is rich and flavorful, with tender beef and amazing chili broth. The cold ricenoodle bowls and the eggplant appetizer were also delicious and full of fresh, bold flavors. Great portions, fast service, and very real Hunan taste. Highly recommended!

This spot is a gem and I cannot believe it has taken me this long to visit! A decent amount of tables inside and a couple benches out in the hall while you are waiting for a table. Easy phone or text to keep you updated on table status. The popcorn chicken was a great appetizer with its perfectly crispy bite-sized chicken pieces fried with basil. You cannot go wrong with the cabbage stir-fried with garlic and sun-dried chili. That is a classic and absolutely delicious. They also had a spicy squid dish that was either with chives or lemongrass. Regardless, it was fantastic and I would get that again. We got two noodle soup dishes. One was the Beef Brisket that had rice noodles served in a tangy and aromatic sour soup, topped with tender beef brisket and fresh herbs. The second was the Pickled Cabbage & Fish Fillet that had rice noodles served in a tangy broth with tender fish slices, flavorful pickled cabbage, bean sprout and greens. Both were phenomenal and I want to try the Spicy Beef Slice rice noodle soup next time.

Now for my standard comments. Parking is pretty easy with street parking or paid lots. Most of the spots use ParkMobile so it is convenient to pay via the app. Location is well kept and clean. Indoor seating is comfortable.

Excellent Chinese place – however not traditional “American- Chinese” but Huanese.

Be aware that it is a little hidden down a small hallway but definitely worth it.

Popcorn chicken was a great value appetizer – see photo – this could have fed me alone.

Crispy Beef was very spicy with tons of dried chilies

Braised pork was juicy and very nice combo bowl

The favorite was the Berkshire pork and fried egg, it came with green peppers and a black bean sauce. It was a medium spicy but all the flavors were fresh. Definitely make sure you try this.

We love it a lot that we went twice in a day for lunch & dinner. We especially like the salty egg yolk pumpkin. All other dishes are good as well. Most dishes are bit spicy but u can request less spicy. The soup dumplings and noodles and the taiwanese braised pork rice are good for kids since these are not spicy. We definitely wanna go more often and view it as one of our “dining hall”. Great place to hang out with foodies friends as well.

We were pleasantly surprised to discover this new gem in Summit! Ben, the host/mgr was extremely helpful and accommodating with questions about the menu. The decor was fresh and inviting
Let’s discuss food….I have to honestly say this is my new favorite Asian food in town! Now I won’t miss Sunny Asia so much anymore! My husband really loved the steamed shrimp dumplings and I loved the beef rice noodles…very tasty! We’ll be back for sure!

If you’re craving comforting, authentic flavors, So Fun Noodle Bar in Summit is a hidden gem worth visiting. Every dish I tried was full of rich, traditional taste — the kind that feels like it’s been passed down through generations. The portions are very decent, so you definitely leave satisfied without feeling like you overpaid for small plates.

What really sets this place apart is the atmosphere of the food itself. It doesn’t feel like a typical restaurant dish that’s been rushed out of a kitchen — it has that warm, home-style quality, almost as if you’re being served a meal cooked by family. There’s a genuine sense of care in the flavors and presentation, which makes the whole experience special.

Whether you’re a noodle lover or just looking for something hearty and authentic, So Fun Noodle Bar delivers comfort, flavor, and value in every bowl.

We took a chance, trying out this new restaurant. We liked it very much

It is not your typical Chinese food. It is like a nicely adapted cuisine based on Chinese food.

We ordered a rib, a fish fillet, a stinky tofu, a cabbage veggie, and a noodle dish. We liked them all

We also ordered a pumpkin-appearance desert. It tasted wonderful as well

Service was friendly
and efficient. Servers share their work load. Through our
meal, we interacted with
h all four servers. Three out of the four servers asked
us about the food. It was a surprise to us. They do care about their restaurant and their food.

My recommendation to everyone thinking about coming here: give SoFun a chance, try it out, and form your own opinion.

For us, we wished them to have good business so that we can enjoy their food for a long time

Restaurant ambience is modern and relaxed. Good place for family gathering or catching up with friends.

This new noodle bar is way cuter than expected and the food is amazing. As a rice noodle enthusiast, I’ve tried so many restaurants in the great NY area and Sofun is definitely in my top 3. I strongly recommend the tofu rice noodle, the century egg & pepper salad and the fried pumpkin ball. They look great and taste even better. Will definitely come back again and try other dishes!
