We walked in and was welcomed almost immediately! The lady who was working there was also as sweet as can be. This place is completely vegan which includes the ‘cheese’ and any ‘meat’ it may have. Even though it was vegan it tasted amazing!!! We had the nachos and a French sandwich with some of the best tots I’ve ever had! This place had the service, the food, and the feelings of a warm hug on a cold day. It was a 10/10 experience and i would 100% go back and eat there again!!!

The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is so nice! Rutabagas came highly recommended by my coworkers and for good reason. We got the nachos, the Reuben, and a side of macaroni and cheese and everything tasted so good! I had been craving vegan macaroni and finally found a good place to get some at a decent price. Absolutely would recommend to anyone, but especially if you prefer a vegan diet.

My first fully vegan burger! I chose the Cowgirl Burger for the variety of ingredients.
First impression was ok, and the flavor only got better from there. I can honestly say that while it was not like eating a ‘meaty beef burger’, it was equally satisfying in a different way. More importantly, when I finished the burger, I felt like I had eaten a really good burger. Not a vegan burger, or a vegetable burger, just a good burger.
I would highly recommend this to any vegetarian or vegan burger fans. I’d also recommend it to any adventurous people out there who just want to find out what a really good non-beef burger can taste like.
My wife also really enjoyed her Banh Mi Sandwich.

First time going today for dinner! AMAZING food! I have to eat dairy free due to my infant being allergic to dairy and I was able to get their Monster Mac and cheese and it was delicious! My very much “against” eating vegan husband for the Bahn Mi sandwich and even he was impressed and loved the food.

Rutabagas Comfort Food is an incredible all-vegan restaurant where 99% of the food is made from scratch. Their new location offers more entree options than before, which is a great update. (FYI There is no public restroom.)
The food is consistently delicious, with creative and satisfying dishes that redefine comfort food. Many online photos are from their old location, but don’t let that fool you—the new space and menu are even better.
Whether you’re vegan or not, this place is worth a visit for a tasty, thoughtfully prepared meal!

We are Portlanders on a cross country road trip, and made a stop in Lincoln just to eat at Rutabagas. We are spoiled with the abundance of vegan and vegetarian options in our home city, and we were not disappointed!!! The food was delicious, flavorful, and served in generous portions. WOW! This place was absolutely incredible, my husband was looking for a new place to try in Lincoln and wow are we glad we stopped in. Not pictured is the amazing Bahn MI my hubby got, but the mac and cheese was also incredible. We will be back so I can try out the Pulled Jackfruit. Also gonna have to leave room for dessert next time because the portions were very hardy. Such a cute place and incredible food that even a carnivore could appreciate

I was visiting a friend in Lincoln for 5 days and went to Rutabagas 4 times, that’s how much I loved this place. The food was excellent: unexpected faves include the biscuit for brunch and the side salad, but everything I tried was super yummy! And it was a great spot to go by myself and get some work done, or to go with a group of people. Also the red-haired lady at the counter recognized me after my second visit and was awesome, so shout-out to her! I only wish there was a place like Rutabagas near where I live in New Jersey; it’s definitely better than any of the restaurants in my area. I hope I get a chance to visit again when they’re in their new location!
