Definitely a new flavor for Seirra Vista! The cashier was extremely nice, explained the menu and provided recommendations. The food came out fairly quickly and tasted pretty good. A little pricey (the food doesn’t come with a drink and you have to pay for the small cups of salsa), so you’re looking at 19-26$ per person.

Awesome chicken, very tasty. Beans and rice were good. It was super quick service. The food was hot, the salsa was ok, but they had good hot sauce available. Quick meal, definitely will be back. Good place to grab a good quick bite.

We just had a 1/2 grilled chicken. Thought it was just as good as the Sonora/Sinaloa style from Tucson and northern Sonora, which is to say very good. It had a very nice aroma of mesquite coals, was flavorful, nice and tender, with a delicious, crispy skin. The salsa was very tasty as well. We had the spicy one, but they also have less spicy.
Very happy to see we finally have a Mexican style grilled chicken place in Sierra Vista!

First visit to Pollitos – hope they improve with time

I wanted to give Pollitos a try since it’s new here in Sierra Vista. I ordered a whole mesquite-grilled chicken with two sides, sauces, and three drinks — it came out to around $43.

The chicken had good potential but was a bit dry and not as flavorful as I expected. It also wasn’t served very hot. The rice and beans were okay, just small portions for the price. The hot sauce came in very tiny containers and I noticed they charge 50¢ for extras, which feels a bit much. The tortillas also seemed microwaved instead of warmed on a stove.

The place itself is new and clean, though there was a light smell when walking in — hopefully something they can fix soon. Overall, not a bad place, but I think they can definitely improve the flavor, portion sizes, and service details.

I’ll probably wait a while before coming back, but I hope they get things dialed in — Sierra Vista could really use a great grilled chicken spot!

I am going to be as nice as possible because I know it’s like day 2 of being open and this is the closest food to my house so I do really want it to work.

Service – great ladies are friendly and food came out very fast.

Food – Rice was just a scoop of mush. Did taste good though. Beans were a bit watery but did taste good. Chicken cooked well but I don’t think any seasoning is used other than smoke. Salsa was great. Very good tortillas.

Price – a bit overpriced in my opinion but what isn’t these days. Life is expensive. I get it.

Overall I mean it’s chicken, beans, and rice. It is what it is. And it is edible.

I will try again soon and hope to see some improvements.

We tried this place for the first time and it will be quite a while before we’d try it again. The staff was very friendly and we were impressed with how clean it was. The chicken was bland and under cooked, which is not good when it comes to chicken. We didn’t care for the beans as they were more like bean soup ..no real texture. My wife was really impressed with the tortillas which were thin enough to see through. The salsa was unimpressive.their hot salsa wasn’t hot …..we felt that the chicken needs some seasoning to give it taste. Given the prices, it definitely needs improvement.

The main feature here is the tender, moist, fall-off-the-bone chicken, which is very, very good. As another reviewer said, Sierra Vista needs a place that serves good baked chicken other than Frys or Safeway.

For my taste, it could have been spiced or perhaps smoked. But that’s just me. What you get is solely the flavor of a cooked chicken. We didn’t get the beans. We just got the rice, which was perfectly fine.

I also picked up some of the chicken tacos which were truly outstanding. The young lady at the counter said, they’re going to be adding more menu items. I would also think about adding something like coleslaw.

Regardless, my wife and I made a very satisfying meal from a whole chicken, with plenty left over.

We will be back, and often.

The chicken today was absolutely delicious. Moist and flavorful. Friendly customer service. The mild salsa was really tasty. My first week I thought things were dry and bland, but I decided to give it another try and I’m glad I did. I will be back for sure.

It was our first time getting food from there and I was disappointed. The chicken was not cleaned properly before cooking and I had to pluck several feathers out of it. The salsa sizes are VERY tiny, and they only give 2 with the whole chicken bundle, which is not nearly enough. The portion sizes are small, barely enough for myself, my husband, and our 1 year old. The “extra large” sides are small containers, only holding maybe 2 portions max. Everything did have a good flavor though, so it wasn’t all bad. Probably won’t be coming back frequently, but it’s a nice option to have when I’m too tired to go all the way into town, since we live in Hereford.

I’ve never had chicken that dry. It was like it was left over chicken from the day before that sat in the warmer all day. Beans and rice were okay. Came with two miniature tortillas, like really small tortillas and tiny thimble of salsa, which sucked. All for twenty dollars.
