Took our kpop crazy granddaughter and she loved it! Actually, we all liked it. The food was so good. The owner and us were the only ones in the building in mid-afternoon so we got great one on one service. And they were playing Kpop music!!!

This place is special to me now, came with my fiance and family here, family owned and are very helpful if you have questions! They won’t serve you what they wouldn’t eat and I stand by that statement! I ate my whole dish and still dream about it today! The food was SO good. I’ve tried many Korean places (especially in the Chicagoland area) and this is one of the most authentic places you’ll find. The food served was really fresh and it was obvious that it was made right then and there.
I got the dol sot beef bulgogi bibimbap and the beef bulgogi kimbap. The beef was so juicy & tasty!! I also received various Korean side dishes with my order.
The person that served me was cheerful and extremely kind. She explained various food options and recommendations to me.

I love going to Koreana – the food is always delicious and the atmosphere is quaint (in the BEST way) and clean. The mother-daughter duo who run the place are always so friendly and welcoming. Lunch or dinner, Koreana always hits the mark.

Koreana serves up the from-scratch, ultra flavorful cooking you’d expect to find in Los Angeles’ Koreatown, not in Downtown Galesburg. I ordered the Dol Sot Bibimbap with Beef Bulgogi for lunch. It was divine. The hot stone bowl it was served in gave the rice a good crispy crust and kept every bite perfectly warm- it never got cold! The gochujang, kimchi, and cucumbers were also very flavorful and gave the dish the kick I was hoping for! I left satiated, not overly full, and was productive for the rest of the work day.

This is a really nice alternative in a town without many Asian options. You can tell the owners are hardworking and dedicated. The restaurant is simple, but welcoming. The servers are very nice and happy to explain menu items. You get a good amount of food for the price. I’ve only been a couple times, but can’t wait to go back to try more. Photos are of the pork bulgogi. Comes with the rice and other bowls as well. I am a spicy food person and even though this was marked as spicy, it really wasn’t too spicy.

I’ve never eaten Korean food before. It was AMAZING! The food was great, I loved the small restaurant feel and the atmosphere! Staff was super friendly and helpful with new things! Loved it!
