When we first walked in, we were pleasantly surprised by how nice it looks inside. And there are many outdoor tables as well. Our server Linda was very helpful and nice, but she was spread pretty thinly when we walked in and it took a while for her to get to us.
We both ordered luncheon specials. We both ordered hot and sour soup and it was delicious. And we both ordered protein with garlic sauce. One of us ordered shrimp and the other had pork. There were five large shrimp in the one plate and lots of pork in the other. But our complaint was with the vegetables. There were very large chunks and were underdone. And there were no knives on the table so we had a hard time cutting the veggies as well. The flavor of both dishes was great. We were sort of unhappy with the fact that we really didn’t taste any garlic. The egg roll that came with the luncheon plates was delicious as well. All in all, there was nothing that made this restaurant unique.

We enjoyed the shrimp fried rice, chicken lo mein and scallops and beef with veggies. Service was wonderful and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Chicken was orange for sure. I mean it was good but not $19 good. That’s a pretty steep price to pay for an okay portion size. For that price I expect it to blow me away but it was just above average. To be honest I couldn’t see myself stopping back in. Good fortune Chinese restaurant four or of five stars.

Clean and new. Most business was carry out during my dine in experience. Our server was friendly.
We ordered 2 soups and 3 entrees, 3 cocktails ($24 total) and the bill was $100 so for three people it was $40 a head with tip. Pricey for the amount of food but the quality and flavors of the sauces, soups, entrees was better than many Chinese restaurants in this area. They served our soups after the entrees had been delivered and charged us for an additional soup that was easily removed but it’s important to always review your bill prior to payment.
The restaurant could use background music to fill the dead space while you dine inside. It was weirdly quiet so you could hear all the conversations at other tables.
Will return for lunch to experience the lunch menu to determine if I will return.

We loved it!! Excellent food quality and atmosphere. Loved the taste of the sauces – the fresh ingredients and sauce was amazing. So many nice extras on atmosphere too like the Wally of the tablewear. Super sweet servers. Just loved it. Hoping our community makes a point to support this great place!

Love this place! We really needed a good Asian cuisine option in this area. Service is always friendly and fast. Food amazing and the price is great! My server Linda was funny and fast. Already looking forward to more of the Sesame chicken and fried rice!

We’ve been looking for a great Chinese food lunch place in the north Phoenix / Scottsdale area for some time but not had great luck. Some neighbor friends invited us to this new place and we said sure, let’s do it. In case Maps isn’t updated quite yet, it’s right between Ace Hardware and Jalepeno Inferno.
Our server, Karen, was awesome. She educated us on the menu and did an awesome job. The General Tso’s chicken was great, as well as the egg fried rice and crab rangoon. I took home about a third of it and it was my dinner as well. We got to meet the owner and she was also very nice.
We’ll be back.

Good Fortune Chinese Restaurant is a solid choice when you want dependable Chinese takeout without the long wait. The food is consistently flavorful, portions are generous, and everything tastes freshly prepared rather than rushed. I’ve ordered a few different dishes, and they’ve all been well balanced and filling, making it great for sharing or leftovers. Service is quick and friendly, and it’s an easy place to rely on when you’re craving classic Chinese comfort food done right.

We were hopeful this restaurant would be good. The interior design is very pretty with lots of detail even flowing into using pretty dining plates. More detail to food needed to be thought through. The food is restaurant supply delivered not homemade. The Chicken Kung Pao was very sweet with the peanuts were not wok cooked in but simply placed on top. It came out as beef and had to be remade. The waitress said the kitchen was getting it back on the grill not a wok? The Mongolian beef was just ok, but too much sugary flavor. The dumplings were not warm when they came out and had to be reheated. The hot tea came out cold and not steeped. The waitress said to hang on with them as they are a new restaurant. But this is a second location so they should know how to run a Chinese restaurant. This restaurant is not worth going to and is way too overpriced for restaurant supply. Even Panda Express is much better.

Service was stupendous, only to be rivaled by the food. We chose the family dinner option which was a good choice. We chose sweet & sour chicken, Happy Family and beef with broccoli. We mistakenly ordered, in addition, the House Special Fried Rice not realizing that the sweet & sour chicken came with its own large platter of fried rice. And, we ordered the BBQ boneless pork. Whew! A lot of food. All served hot and fresh. We sat outside right by the water feature and, luckily, Scottsdale weather gods were very kind. Cannot wait for leftovers and our next visit. Thank you, Kelly and all!
