Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

Downloaded the App but it doesn’t have a guest mode.Had to go inside, after drive through didn’t see my order.
Inside they said your order just came through at 1928. Hope the food is worth it, my first time trying Whataburger. Rant ends!
Okay, here goes, The Burger was delicious actually, The onion rings were ok, crispy but the onion was very small and papery I guess, Fries were good, Apple Pie was yummy and the chocolate shake was good, could have been more chocolaty. I will probably repeat the burger for sure. Staff were very friendly and attentive working diligently on my order. Presentation was okay. Plenty of parking around. Don’t judge – I was hungry and a long day behind me
We were missing multiple items and had to walk back up to the counter THREE separate times. Every single time, instead of apologizing or checking the order, we were met with the same stupid question:
“Did you pay for it?”
YES. We paid for it.
Do you guys even READ the order??
What made it worse is that the employee was literally holding the receipt in her hand while still asking if we paid. Unreal. I ordered at the kiosk — my job was to order and pay, YOUR job was to make the food correctly. I should not have to repeatedly ask for food I already paid for just to eat my meal.
To top it off, my wife ordered a salad, and they seriously asked if we paid extra for ranch. Ranch. For a salad. It comes with it. That alone tells me nobody there has any idea what they’re doing.
This place is disorganized, careless, and annoying. Zero accountability, zero attention to detail, and zero customer service. I will not be coming back, and I strongly suggest others think twice before wasting their money here.
Then some dude brings out our food but it’s missing a large fry and onion ring. So the. He takes all our food and brings it back behind the counter. Then comes back out and asks to see our receipt to double check the order. Then a couple minutes later the cashier brings out our complete order. It was just a funky situation.
The food was ok. Nothing I would go out of my way for or say I was craving. The onion rings were pretty good though. The atmosphere was a semi dirty fast food restaurant. Burgers fo not come with ketchup on them and if you want cheese they charge 65c a slice.
Would we eat here again? Sure, but again nothing we would go out of the way for.
