Seriously good burgers at a very reasonable price. Friendly staff in a cozy space. Note: the meat patties on these burgers were huge and juicy! Even though the prices may tempt you, it’s not necessary to order a double burger — you probably won’t be able to finish it (we did not, but tried as best we could!)

The food was delicious. We were driving up 287 and the kids were screaming for food. The first one asked for a burger, so we stopped at Vernon Burger. You never know what you’re going to get when eating on the road, but I’d definitely come back here again.
We all got burgers, and I added an order of the chicken fried rice—because why not? The fries were hot, crispy, and seasoned perfectly. The burgers were big, freshly made, and the lettuce was crisp. I saw a review mentioning the rice, and it really delivered. The crispy bits reminded me of the kind of rice I used to get in the Philippines.
The tables were clean, the ketchup bottle was spotless, and the employees were friendly. I’m really glad we stopped.

This burger is SO GOOD, like home made. Even the tomatoes were ripe and good. You can’t beat the price. We fed 4 people with 2 burgers, chicken finger basket, frito pie, 2 big bags of fries, jalapeño poppers (6), and 4 drinks… less than $40!
My pro tip for burgers…put jalapeño poppers on the burger!

Three of us stopped in here on our way to Frisco for the Eclipse, our expectations weren’t very high because the place was a bit disorganized and “old” looking. BUT the staff were very nice and the burgers/fries were delightful. Would definitely recommend for a bite to eat on a trip or visit! Oh and there are no public restrooms.

Very cool 50’s theme little burger joint. There is indoor and outdoor seating and a drive through. Not as fast as fast food service, but much tastier. The burger meat was a huge portion. Options for additional toppings. The chunky french fries had seasoning salt and were crispy on the outside and soft inside, yum!
My fried had a fried catfish basket which her and the kiddos liked. There is a railing around the covered outdoor area that makes it very family friendly (helps with the herding of cats ). Very conveniently located close to the highway and with plenty of parking on all 3 sides of the restaurant. Gas stations closeby so you can fill up your tank and tummies.

Wonderful experience! While passing through on a road trip was looking for a pet friendly place to take a break. Arrived as they were closing, they offered to stay open and cook for us, everything was fresh and delicious! After they brought out the food, they told us if we needed anything to let them know while they were cleaning and closing up for the evening. Prices are cheap for the quality of food, was surprised.
It was nice to support local! They didn’t have public restrooms, no problem.
We sat outside and enjoyed the food and break from riding in the car.
Will definitely stop here again if we are passing through!

Was traveling through Vernon at lunch time and found this little gem. Ordered a double burger and it was very good. Prices are very reasonable and service was on point. Will return if I’m in the area.

The food was good; they were fairly fast; but tiny inside, not room for even a 4-top. No restrooms which was a big downfall for people driving through and needing a potty break when they stop to get lunch. Was told they had cheddar cheese, but it was American. Love supporting local businesses over chains any day though!
