I so badly wanted to give this a 5, but it fell just short on a couple of things.
I ordered a margarita that didn’t taste like it had tequila in it, nor left me feeling like it had tequila in it. But the guava was delicious, it tasted like candy in a good way.
The chile Colorado was too hot. And I know CC is supposed to be hot, I’ve gotten it at almost all Mexican restaurants I’ve been too and it’s never been this fire. As soon as it was placed down I could see the chilli seeds, and I had to power through it because I was hungry. The flavor was great and everything else was great too.
All of our other meals were also delicious!!
Like I said, great experience, even down to the chips and salsa, but adding tequila to the marg and turning down the chile Colorado from a 15 to a 10 heat would’ve been 5 star for me.
I’ll be back though for sure.

Over priced for the cafeteria quality food you are getting. It is a step above going to McDonald’s, however. The place is clean, and our server did well. They just need to first focus on the food. Much of it is dry, Pico lacks flavor, salsa is boring, guacamole did not taste right.

I had simple just rice and cheese (pregnant and not currently loving meat lol)
But my husband got a burrito and customized it his own way … fantastic
The server got everything right
Came back for refills three times and was very attentive but did not over do it
Wish we had gotten her name
Very young sweet little blonde girl
Definitely will be returning

We live almost an hour away but always try to visit this hidden jem of a Mexican restaurant often! We love their chicken fajita taco salads and their complementary fresh chips and salsa are delicious. This place also holds a special place in our heart as it is where me and our husband had our first date many years ago

I hadn’t been here in about 20 years and I quickly remember why upon arrival. The margaritas are absolutely terrible and are a pre mix that they will not deviate from but will give you a side of patron for 7.50 which you definitely need for these as they are pure sugar. The salsa hot and regular is far too chunky and lacks flavor of any kind. Service wears not fantastic but I believe it was the servers first night. Several of us got the wrong food and drinks when ordering as well which was corrected. The chimichanga and rice were actually pretty decent and is what saved them from a 1 star review.
Recommendation to restaurant- work on your bar scene and make actual margs.

Ordered 4 chicken tacos, the total was $17. I opened the bag in the car and noticed the tacos were plain, just tortillas filled with chicken. I went back and mentioned to the clown behind the counter that they forgot to add the rest of the stuff to the tacos. He told me they didn’t forget anything, plain is how they make chicken tacos at Cancun. He wouldn’t budge, wasn’t going to get cheese, lettuce, etc. I said ooookaaaay and took my plain tacos and left. Guess the comedian behind the counter got his laugh on my account. Obviously I’ll never go back.

Use to eat here often, wasn’t sure why it has been awhile until i got my food. Ordered the nachos cancun which are usually amazing. First thing i notice is the over abundance of liquid my chips are sitting in on the plate making them horribly soggy, couldn’t use them at all to eat the nachos had to take all of them off the plate and request a bowl of fresh chips .
Service was amazing, our waitress was great at her job.

Came in from 7 hours on the road looking lunch and seeing what was local since I had another 5 hours to go. Decided on this over Subway – it was worth it. Traffic was low and the seating yourself part surprised me. I ordered the Lunch Tamale and Lunch Chimichanga. The chimichanga didn’t stand out as anything special flavor-wise despite the friendly presentation. I was hungry since I hadn’t eaten a meal since 8pm previous night.
I’ve only had a standard [what I call] dry tamale with seasoned pork or chicken and corn masa on the inside. This was a wet tamale with a very tasty sauce covering the plate that didn’t overburden the flavor of the filling. The chips for the table helped compliment both dishes for cleanup.
Service was nothing to call home about but friendly enough considering the place was somewhat empty.
Seems like a decent spot for get in get out. Might try again for a road trip return.

First impressions was that we thought the place was closed. No cars in the lot. That didn’t do well to set the stage for an amazing restaurant. However, we were greeted and sat down quickly. Our server was full of smiles and spoke very well. The food was a little expensive but you don’t walk out of here hungry. I had the Cancun Horseshoe, and was so full I could not eat it all. The decorations were typical of these restaurants, but it almost looked as if it hasn’t changed in 30 years.
