Unfortunately the customer service needs a ton of work. I actually wish I was sitting in another server’s section because she was so pleasant and attentive with the couple as they enjoyed their meal; checking on them and asking if they needed a refill on anything. My server made me feel quite rushed and uncomfortable while I was trying to enjoy my dinner.

The food and drinks ( not very strong at all) were ok. If you do try it, remember to ask for plastic utensils and cups; my silverware and cups were dirty when I received them which threw me off a bit. The atmosphere was the biggest pro for me, but who goes out to eat just to look around.

Overall, there are other similar restaurants (Fantasy Tacos -THE BEST ON THE WESTBANK- Velvet Cactus, Los Jefes, Tacos del Cartel)that I have had better experiences with in the area so I don’t think I will be revisiting.

We decided to give this place a try and went at lunchtime. Honestly, a great meal, relaxing environment and a friendly/speedy server. The food portions were large and came out hot and the restaurant is clean and decorated beautifully. Would recommend:)

I have been meaning to tey this place for a hot minute. My partner loved El Patron when it was there and we patronized it whenever we had to visit Belle Chasse. The new place has a very “upscale vibe”. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor dining experience. However, the food could definitely be better. The food wasn’t bad and we were full from the quantity but the flavor was a little disappointing. Especially the birria burrito we had. Everytime ee have birria the meat and consome just makes my day but the food seemed so bland here. But would definitely return to try other stuff.

As a home cook, I’m usually pretty critical, but tacos truly impressed me. The flavors were perfectly balanced not just salty or basic, but genuinely well thought out. It’s rare to find a spot that cares as much about presentation as they do about taste, and the atmosphere only added to the experience. On top of that, the service was excellent our waitress checked in every few minutes to ensure we were taken care of. Definitely worth it I’m already planning my next trip back, I recommend this place.

The atmosphere is gorgeous. The food was out of this world. I had the king Kong rib burrito it was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Everything tasted great. They had a mariachi band as well. Mexican folks actually eat here with their families, that’s how you know it’s good!! If you have a date I recommend outside because the indoors can get a bit echoey and loud.

Let me start by saying that this is the best Mexican food I’ve had to date. I had lunch here and everything was delicious. They start you off with complimentary chips and salsa, both made fresh. I ordered the rib eye tacos that came with 3 tacos covered with some grilled veggies and melted mozzarella cheese and it was spectacular. For our appetizer we had birria fries that were big enough to be a full entree. They were covered with pickled grilled onions, peppers and cherry tomatoes with cheese, needless to say it was delicious. My girl had a half slab of pork ribs with a mango habanero sauce and it was delicious, had just the right amount of heat and sweetness. Along with the other sides that came with the meals everything was delicious. I tried bone marrow for the first time here, it came on side my rib eye tacos. That was ok, I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to just eat the marrow right out of the charred bone or not, but I added it on top my tacos and it was ok, can’t really describe the taste, but definitely worth trying out if you haven’t already. We ended the day with some margaritas and they were delicious and left me with a slight buzz. I’ll definitely be eating here again soon. The prices are good and the service was A1

Excited to try this new place. The atmosphere was super festive and fun. They had a live band outside, which was too hot and the band was actually too loud for us to sit out and enjoy it. But inside was really nice. The food was fantastic. The margarita was below par. It’s really surprising that a top shelf margarita cannot be made well these days….there version was filled with LOTS of orange juice and minimal alcohol. Service from our waiter could have been more engaging. He didn’t seem to want to be there and was stand-off ish. All in all we will be back , and hopefully have a better experience with Service and the drinks.
