We came here on a Saturday night with a group of friends. I’ve heard good things about this place and was excited to finally try it. It was a huge disappointment.
Our first dish, Tom Yum Soup, arrived very quickly, but we soon discovered a hair in it. Shortly after, as the ice in our water melted, my boyfriend found a rusty nail with a bracket in his cup. Wow the hair was already something but this rusty nail…unbelievable!
There was only one lady serving the entire restaurant. She wasn’t very attentive, she’d just bring a dish to our table and quickly disappear. It took us a while to get her to come check out the hair and the nail. When she saw them, she just said “sorry i’ll bring you a new one.” She didn’t even sound remotely apologetic or shocked about the nail.
The food was very average. At the end our bill still included tips and she never mentioned the hair and nail again even as we were paying. No shame.
There are better Thai places in LA, especially ones without surprise ingredients.

I enjoy Thai food very much, and I have tried out many location around L.A. Isaan Station has the best taste of the places I have visited. Everytime I am there, I order the Papaya Salad with crispy pork and the Pad Thai with shrimp, with some steam white rice!!! Delicious. I have also tried some other dishes…and it does not disappoint!! The place is nicely tucked in small shoping center, inside you have a classic Tuk Tuk, some booths for larger groups and more tables on the other side of the restaurant. There is a vibrant flower wall with a neon sign “Isaan Station”. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable of the dishes, and very attentive. Prices are moderate (mid – range), but you can expext great quality and taste. Overall a great Thai restaurant nestled in the K Town district. If you are in the area, make sure to check it out. I live in Downey, but dont mind the trip to get some of their delicious food. One things I forgot to mention, not a deal breaker cor me, they do not accept debit or credit cards, you can pay with cash or zelle.

They can actually make the food very spicy! I love that about this place. I’ve been to many Thai places and asked them to make it spicy, they fail to deliver. This place is not shy about kicking it up a notch. If you like spicy food, you will be sweating by the end of the meal. The papaya salad is probably my favorite. They are a cash only place BTW.

If you are tired of the same old Thai food, Isaan Station Thai Street Food is the place for you. I have to say, the Pork Jerky was definitely my favorite. The papaya salad with salted egg is another good choice. The clay hot pot was a new thing for me but wow.. you definitely want to try it. The brought was delicious. Great service with a very friendly staff.

Love the food here. Just to make sure the stuff is authentic, I brought my good friend who’s also Thai just to verify and all I hear from them was that wow these are pretty good. That’s when you know their stuff is legit. For me of course every thing tasted wonderful.

Great Thai spot in Koreatown. Cash only. Simple interior. Good for small groups. The food is delicious. Their medium level is legit spicy. I loved it. Friendly service. There’s a small lot in front that fills up fast though. Probably easier to find street meter parking on Western.

From the heart of Isaan comes Isaan Station. One of our favorite restaurants in all of LA for authentic Isaan food. Isaan is a province in the North East of Thailand close to Laos and Cambodia, it’s mostly farmland and is where most of the agriculture in Thailand comes from. Due to it’s proximity to Laos there’s a mixture of Laos culture and even language mixed in with the local dialect. The food here is my favorite in all of Thailand as it’s often use of lime, lemongrass and many herbs and spices make it the most flavorful in my opinion.
La has a huge Thai community so it’s a blessing to have many different styles of Thai food to choose from, Isaan Station delivers authentic Isaan food you won’t find better outside of Isaan itself.
So yourself a favor and experience authentic Thai food that Thai people love and stop in at Isaan Station, it will change your life!
