The food is absolutely delicious. You walk in to a nice ambiance and greeted by the owner Po. She is kind and welcoming and all around great energy. I got chicken Satay and chicken fried rice. The satays are cooked and seasoned to perfection. I recieved a huge portion of rice, Customized to my liking. 10/10 will absolutely Be a regular here

Must visit! The waitress was welcoming and let us choose our seats when we arrived. I ordered the original Thai iced tea and the Yum Nurr. The food was delicious and authentic! You can add a spice level from 1-5 for more flavor!

Just tried this Thai spot under new management, and wow. It’s female-run, with two sisters at the heart of it. One is the chef, and you can taste the love and skill in every bite. Their mom and daughter are also part of the team, which makes the whole place feel welcoming and special.

I had the pad thai with chicken and it was outstanding. Perfectly balanced, fresh, and full of flavor. My husband ordered the green curry chicken and couldn’t stop talking about it. Rich, comforting, and just the right amount of heat.
One thing to note, they don’t have their liquor license yet, so it’s BYOB, which honestly makes it even better.

Hands down one of the best Thai meals I’ve had in a long time. And trust me, I’m a New Yorker, I know good food when I taste it. We’ll absolutely be back.

It was my first time here and I was looking for a nice quiet place with great food. They delivered.
1. Great food. I know I had a simple meal but the sticky rice was phenomenal, the soup was super flavorful, and the crab Rangoon were STUFFED with filling. You can see it popping out the wrapper.
2. The service was amazing. The waitress was kind and attentive. The food came out quickly and piping hot.
3. The ambiance was relaxing. The traditional decor brought me to another place and it felt cozy with the warm lighting, real plants on the table.

Highly recommend!

This place truly lives up to the glowing Google reviews that initially drew us in. The service is warm and welcoming, the decor contemporary, and while the menu is traditional, it features authentic dishes that are flawlessly executed, delivering rich and deeply satisfying flavors. The fresh spring rolls are consistently delightful, but the standout was unquestionably the massaman curry with tofu—it was outstanding, with a complexity of ingredients that tantalize the taste buds. A heads-up about the Thai Iced Tea: the large one is unexpectedly substantial! Although I was hoping to find distinctive traditional Lao dishes, the menu seemed to mirror many Thai restaurants. Nevertheless, this did not detract from the overall excellent dining experience in such a pleasing setting.

Very cute place. Serves Loa food. Food was fresh and delicious and flavorful ( my only complain is that there were only 3 small pieces of tofu in my noodles!). Thai ice was refreshing. Served was very polite and soft spoken. Ambiance was cool.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Authentic and Delicious Thai Cuisine!

Xay’s Kitchen is a hidden gem that serves the most authentic Thai food I’ve ever tasted. What makes this place truly special is the owner, Xay, who has lovingly brought her mother’s traditional recipes from her native homeland. Each dish feels like a genuine journey through the flavors of Laos and Thailand.

The food here isn’t just a meal; it’s a heartfelt culinary experience that transports you directly to the region’s rich food culture. Every bite is packed with genuine, traditional flavors that you simply can’t find in typical Thai restaurants. So delicious! I cannot recommend Xay’s Kitchen enough – it’s a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic, home-style Southeast Asian cuisine.

If you’re looking for real, soul-warming Thai food made with passion and family tradition, look no further than Xay’s Kitchen Laos & Thai Cuisine! Thank you Xay! I will be back!

Very pleased with our first time here! We love Thai food and are used to really amazing Thai restaurants in Queens. This is the best Thai we’ve found in the West Haven/Orange/Milford area. Their Pad Thai is flavorful and delicious and our server was kind and attentive. I was glad to see the place filling up with customers as we left. We’ll definitely be back and order to-go too!
