We hardly know anyone in this town but the staff at vbg makes us feel right at home. The food is home-cooked, often nostalgic and reliably good. The service is always friendly. Sometimes the musical acts can be loud but I appreciate their efforts to bring entertainment in. They have only featured the truffle Mac once but it was hands-down one of the best dishes I’ve ever had (and I’ve traveled/moved a lot). Hoping to see it on their daily specials again soon!

Between the atmosphere, the courteous, attentive, and friendly staff, and the phenomenal food and gigantic portions… You can’t beat Valatie Bar & Grill around here for a warm pub experience with phenomenal food, drinks, and staff that makes you feel at home!

A wonderful gem of a place in a wonderful town. Looks small from the outside, but it goes back quite a way, so don’t worry about getting crowded. Lots of monitors, but they keep a good eye on the volume, so they don’t disturb, unless it’s like the Superbowl or something, then all bets are off. Good specials and attentive staff. I see young couples come in quite a bit, so it’s a friendly place. I like it. 🙂

Incredible bar staff and kitchen staff. Awesome menu cooked by real chefs. Wings are amazing, especially with their signature wing sauce, and Tuesday’s Mac and cheese night always brings a surprising new style into the mix, like Pepperoni Pizza, Jerk Chicken, or even the Sloppy Joe Mac and cheese! Bar staff is attentive and very generous! Cheers!

The staff is genuinely passionate about you experience especially the incredible kitchen staff. Drinks and food weren’t bad but they took forever to bring any drinks over to me at the bar of all places. If you don’t mind spending 45 minutes to get one okay drink and an appetizer than this place isn’t bad but if you’re going in with the intentions of having a quick drink and snack then this place is not the place for you

UPDATE restaurant reached out, they had a last minute change that slipped through on the menu, it happens. They were very apologetic and offered to make things right which is great, most restaurants don’t do that. The rest of the food was amazing and shouldn’t be overshadowed by a sub roll miscommunication. Excellent customer service!
Honestly, usually love this place, which is why I don’t wanna ding them with an under 3 star review. but tonight was just.. wow. My bf ordered me an eggplant parm sub, described on the menu to be on a hoagie roll. No one told him on the phone they would be out of rolls. I simply would have changed my order to a different item as this isn’t worth full price, but I wasn’t given that chance. Instead I was given.. THIS. sad, disappointed. Again, could have let me know while ordering.
