Everything was delicious. We ordered the pad see ew, Mongolian beef, and tom yum and loved all of it. Parking was easy with a free one-hour lot nearby. I’ll definitely be coming back. Our waitress was wonderful as well. I wish I remembered her name because her service was excellent.

This was my first time dining in at Thai Flavors, as I’ve usually ordered Pad Thai through DoorDash with coworkers.
We were greeted warmly and had a party of nine. The décor was actually pretty cool on first walk-in, but the overall condition of the restaurant felt dirty and somewhat run down. It was also surprisingly not very busy for a Saturday night.
They were able to push tables together for us quickly, which was appreciated. Our waitress was extremely nice and did a great job getting drinks and things started right away.
The menu is very extensive, which is never a good sign. We ordered three sushi rolls and crab rangoons. The appetizers came out quickly and were pretty good. However, when the entrees arrived, presentation was nice, multiple staff members were handing out food while others were trying to clear the table at the same time. It felt messy and unorganized.
Once we started eating the sushi, it quickly became clear that the rolls tasted like they may have been made earlier. The rice was slightly dry, and overall the sushi was disappointing, especially at $8–$16 per roll. Honestly, I’ve had better sushi from a grocery store.
Around 8:30 pm, staff began stacking chairs around us and brought the checks quickly. It felt like they were ready to close, even though we were a table of nine still eating and drinking. We probably would have ordered another round, but the message was pretty clear.
Overall, there were some positives, especially the service, but the food quality and the rushed ending made it a disappointing dine-in experience.

Best place we’ve eaten in Des Moines. Great serving staff. They had a sense of humor and their advice on spices and entrees was spot on. Massive portion sizes of everything. The chicken and beef dishes were super generous with the meats and the meats were fantastically tender. We had one diner who doesn’t normally go for Thai but he devoured it all. Even after stuffing ourselves we all had enough to take home for a whole second meal.

Delicious! Pho was fantastic, my son (who is normally a chicken nugget/burger type of guy) devoured the lo mein. And my wife who is vegetarian loved the lemongrass stir fry. The food was so good we ordered curries to go! Highly highly recommend this place.

Came in on Wednesday afternoon, lunch time. Was sat immediately. The hosts and servers were welcoming and very nice. The atmosphere was nice, and reflected the same decorations as most Thai resturants. The food was very good. It is not my favorite, but I am very biased to my favorite Thai restuarant back home. I am from TX but if I do come back to Des Moines I would have no problem returning here. The heat scale runs 1-6. I got the Cashew Chicken with a 5. I did not find it too spicy, but take that with a grain of salt as I love spicy. It was very flavorful with the spice which is what I look for with spicy and why I don’t usually go to the spiciest levels. Also got the spicy edamame as an appetizer and destroyed them. They came with a sweet and sour sauce, which I have not gotten anywhere else, and it was amazing. I will not be asking for a side of sauce with my emamame everywhere. I did not time how long it took for the food to arrive but as hungry as I was, I know I did not wait long. I recommend this place.

Nice place. Bright and clean. It’s a bit noisy and a little cramped. Service was good, and the server was nice, but he could have checked back to refill waters and ask about the meal.
The food was absolutely delicious! We will definitely go back because of that fact! The menu is quite large… We ordered the sushi roll as an appetizer, which worked out really well for 2. The Saki was delicious and definitely enough for 2 as well.
The wife said that the Pineapple Delight combo had a terrific flavor, plenty of chicken, and shrimp.
My Seafood Ka Phrao was absolutely loaded with seafood as promised on the menu! Neither one of us could eat it all!

If you’ve never been, try it!! Bottom line,
Maybe not totally amazing, but definitely worth the drive for an oriental dinner!

I’ve always gone to the original, and that’s hard to beat. First time here and it won’t be my last. Food was perfect, the spice was exactly as I wanted it. The presentation was spot on, along with the service. The dining area is spacious and designed beautifully. They have a small bar if you desire. Restrooms are clean and nice. This is a great addition to West side of downtown. You should go and experience this place!

Very nice dining atmosphere. You can’t go wrong no matter what you order. I’d definitely recommend the pan fried dumplings and you can’t leave without an order of the incredible crab rangoon!
