Ordered egg foo yong and there was no vegetables. It was all rice with very little egg. It was terrible. Ordered fried rice and it was an extra charge and there was nothing but white rice and soy sauce. Also ordered Hunan shrimp which should’ve been spicy and there was no spice at all. Recently moved to the area and was looking forward to Chinese food and reviews seemed very good. I would never return.

Food was prepared and served quickly. The hot and sour soup was delicious and a generous portion. The spring roll was good but very small. The crab rangoons were hot, but were unremarkable and almost tasted a little freezer burned. The fried rice was good, but the pork lomain was just OK, and some of the vegetables were a little more fibrous than I would have liked. It’s a family business and I know things need to be preped when you have time. I was having lunch, but I felt like my server was busy with other things and didn’t check back during my meal and I had to wait to be noticed that I was finished and ready to pay and continue with my day. I’ll come back again and try dinner service.

A friend called me and invited me to lunch because I was in the area. They asked me to meet them at Hunan Chinese restaurant which was described as a small storefront mom and pop establishment. It took us a little while to find the location because it’s not a stand on its own building and was located quickly between two other storefront locations. You Have to step up into the front door so watch your step in and out. Ring the restaurant transforms you into what seems to be another place and time. With delightful atmosphere of an owner run restaurant is evident from the warm greetings and the care and attention put into plating even the simplest luncheon special. I selected an egg foo young It was absolutely delighted with the interpretation. Lunch was delicious and the service was outstanding. The dining experience was cozy and homey. The cuisine was excellent and the service was outstanding. Thank you Hunan Chinese restaurant for a delightful luncheon. I will be back.
