Ordered off the regular menu, not Lunch Specials menu. Had Hot&Sour soup to start with which looked very fresh and was very delicious. Then i ordered combination Lo Mein, which is what you see in the photo. It tasted just as good as it looked, shrimp was very suculant, which tells a lot that they know how to cook without drying it out. Will try again for sure, and update if needed, but for now they deserve the 5 stars from me 🙂 Recommend to try and hope you Enjoy!

Just your average neighborhood chinese spot , not the best but definitely not the worse, a solid 3 out of 5. Considering I work in the area and this place has a lunch special, I’ll be back for sure to try the rest of the menu.
In this photo is the sesame chicken lunch special.

I have ordered food from this restaurant several times but tonight took the cake and I will not ever order from this restaurant again! When I walked in I waited almost 4 minutes with the Man business owner to not even greet me his back was turned he did not even give me the courtesy to turn around and acknowledge my presence! So mind you he never greeted me and then asked if I was picking up or placing an order. Once I placed my order he just walked off did not say you can have a seat or anything so I had a seat on my own then he comes back in about two minutes saying the order was being prepared. Then he asks are you paying card or cash I told him card. After me there were two Caucasian people that came in at separate times and he definitely greeted them and I honestly felt disrespected and or course thought oh is it because the color of my skin that he mistreated me but it’s for real okay because I would never give this place my business I am a consistent paying customer and I never deserved what took place! Well that business loss and not mines! God do not like ugly and he loves us all and he definitely are not looking at the color of our skin! I will continue to pray for those who are so ignorant towards certain races because the shame is in them! Never ever will I go there and I don’t care if it was one time that one time was too many! I am a woman and a child of the most high and I stand for something and I demand respect wherever I go it’s not optional!

Good food. Potstickers were tasty. It’s nice to see a Chinese restaurant can make a dish with different vegetables than what normally would be in the dish. I enjoyed the broccoli in the beef dish despite no mention. My broccoli hater friend felt otherwise. Kung pao chicken was good. I would have asked for hot lava spicy, but some hear was better than none. If come back if I was in the area.

Been going to Malahini for decades. We typically go as a family, with about 9 or 10 of us, get a round table with the lazy-susan that spins around, and share dishes. Might be more of a nostalgic experience for me than the actual quality of the food, but everytime I go, I’m eating til I’m stuffed. The speciality drinks are very good.

I ordered large pork fried rice and received a small pork fried rice. In addition the pork fried rice had very little pork and no vegetables that traditionally accompany ANY fried rice. See photos.
I ordered a beef egg foo young and received what you could describe as a thimble of white rice to accompany it.
I contacted the restaurant and was told the manager would call me back. 24 hours later I have yet to hear anything!

Mr Hazucka was dead on with his review.
Read it while “eating” my food. General Taos chicken with vegetables.
My plate came and there were 3 pieces of small green pepper – yea – THREE
I asked the waitress(?) – she looked at my plate and said “yes – 3 piece of pepper”
Whhhaaat? Not to add insult to injury but the chicken came next – all dark meat and the vast majority of that was breading – just bad. Sons did not enjoy his lo mein – very different than other restaurants- much larger & wider noodle than typical lo mein dishes.

Been ordering here for years and have never experienced a compromise on quantity or quality. Also one of the best egg rolls.
Edit, previously 5 stars: after nearly a dozen years of this being the absolute best places in town, it unfortunately has taken a turn towards the absolute worst. Portions have become slightly smaller, but the quality has dived. In addition, they have begun using new packaging for the food that allows the contents of your meal to seap through. See photos for how the order was CHOSEN to be delivered to me. Big shame, hoping to come back and give back 5 stars, but in the current state, this is a shop to avoid.

Ordered carryout, and we received wrong items. We didn’t realize until all sat down and opened the containers. No big deal, it happens. When we called they repeated back our order (which was correct), and then they asked if we wanted to re-order and pay for the missing item or insisted we return the wrong item in exchange for what we originally ordered. Sooo, we drove back and RETURNED the opened, exposed food item.
Pretty freaking gross..

We came across Malahini Terrace almost by accident- and I’m glad we did! We were there just into the New Year. I really like the Polynesian and Asian decor and they have a huge selection of both on the menu. The food was served family style with large, delicious portions. We will definitely be back!
