This place is truly a hidden gem. The hunter stew was absolutely incredible—one of the best meals I’ve ever had in Arizona. The meat was so tender it melted in my mouth, and the stew itself was rich and flavorful. The dumplings were also delicious. We tried the Kyiv cake as well; it was sweet but surprisingly light, and I really enjoyed it. I didn’t expect the coffee to be good, but it turned out to be great too. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s easily one of the best places I’ve visited

Wonderful Ukrainian food choice in an unassuming shopping center. Friendly service as you order at the counter, they are willing to guide your choices. We had the borscht cup of soup, warning the small cup is a huge 16 ounces, and the variety plate #1 with pancake, 5 pierogies, cabbage roll and sausage bun. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed our meal. Lots more to try on the menu.

Very excellent food! We had been wanting to come for about 2 years from different recommendations we had but it was out of the way for us. We happened to be in the neighborhood and I said we have to go here! I would come back here anytime. The food is authentic and fresh. If you live central/eastern European food you will love this. It is not inexpensive but an excellent value for the quality of the food. We ordered so much and are enjoying the pierogies and cabbage rolls the next day. The honey cake was wonderful! Sausages are the best I’ve had in so long I don’t remember. Thank you for very wonderful and tasty food. We can’t wait to join you again.

This meal reminded me so much of my late grandmother’s cooking. I loved everything. I had the Solyanka soup and the pork cabbage rolls with spicy pepper sauce on top. Thank you for the nostalgia. 10/10 would come back to eat here again.

We checked out this small but busy spot with tons of tasty options and super friendly staff. I had the hunter’s stew, cabbage rolls, and sweet crepes while my friends tried pierogies, sausage, honey cake and more. Everything came out fast and delicious but the cabbage rolls were the highlight for me.

The service is amazing, the atmosphere is lovely, and the Ukrainian and Polish food is fantastic. The price is very fair, and the portions are large. I brought home some Solyanka soup for my mother yesterday, and she said it was so good that she’s currently on her way to the restaurant get more. I wanted to take photos, but once they put the food on our table, my mind went blank and I started immediately eating. It’s so good. Very glad I found this place.

Had borscht the other day at another restaurant in the valley, figured I’d come try out Soup & Sausage Bistro’s borscht to compare. Excellent borscht with a dollop of sour cream, they asked if I wanted bread as well but I declined. Very reasonable prices, a bowl of soup (24oz) around $10.22 (without tax). Big drink cups, refillable. I loved their borscht, big pieces, very tasty.

Small seating area, half booth/half tables and a couple full booths. The employee working on 4/2/2025 was very friendly, we had a small chat about other restaurants in Arizona and I thought his demeanor was very professional. Bathroom was clean and is accessible, accessibility bars on the walls, large single person restroom.

– The only thing I didn’t like was that if there are cars parked up near the restaurant, the sun glares off their windshields and straight into your eyes. They could use a better curtain to protect patrons eyes while dining in.

We stopped in for the first time to try some Ukranian food, and ordered the following:

1 Variety Combo #1
– pierogis (we chose potato-bacon-onion, and then also got the bacon onion butter topping)
– cabbage roll (we chose the beef variety, with bell pepper sauce on top)
– potato pancake (added sour cream)
– stuffed bun

And 1 soup/sausage combo
– the mushroom cream soup
– linguisa sausage
– fries and drink

We LOVED the cabbage roll, the pierogis, and the mushroom soup. Next time, we want to try the potato-cheddar pierogi! Everything tasted fresh and light, not heavy – clearly homemade!
