The business was steady and diners happy as Alki Pho and Bar opened its doors on Monday. The menu is made to be easy to understand but the roots are authentically Vietnamese. This is the second Pho restaurant for owner Lynda Nguyen and Bien Le. The first is in Renton. We were riding our E-bikes along Alki Beach when we spotted this restaurant and decided to stop in. My wife wanted a Bahnmi sandwich but she had also been craving pho, so it seemed like the perfect place to check out and maybe add to our list of go-to spots when we’re in town. The decor was clean and comfortable–nothing flashy, just a nice, welcoming setup. It’s not a huge place, but there’s a fair amount of seating, especially when you include the bar area. The overall vibe is kind of a mix between a sports bar and an Asian restaurant, with TVs in the bar showing different games, which is great if you like to catch some sports while you eat.
They also have a full bar, so you can enjoy a drink with your meal or just relax with a cocktail while watching a game. My wife ordered the combo pho, and I went with the chicken and shrimp vermicelli bowl. The service was excellent–Jenni and the rest of the staff were friendly and kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed.
The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was that the vermicelli bowl came with just two shrimp on a skewer. To get more, I had to order the shrimp skewers separately, which came with four skewers and two shrimp on each. That part could’ve been better, but the food itself was delicious–fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared.
I also liked how close it was to our Airbnb, which made it a super convenient stop after a long day. Overall, great food, great service, and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town.

I’ve been coming to Alki Pho and Bar multiple times now, and it never fails to impress. If you’re looking for high-quality Vietnamese food with a great view and a relaxed atmosphere, this is easily the best spot on the beach.
The Food
Everything I’ve tried has been incredible, but here are the standouts that keep me coming back:
Combo Pho: The broth is rich and authentic, and the variety of meats in the combo bowl is perfect for when you want a bit of everything.
Curries: Both the Red Curry and Yellow Curry are delicious. The Yellow Curry is so comforting with the potatoes and coconut milk, while the Red Curry has that perfect kick and fresh basil.
Teriyaki: They honestly have some of the best Beef and Chicken Teriyaki around. The meat is always tender, perfectly glazed, and served in generous portions.
Egg Rolls & Vermicelli: You can’t leave without getting the egg rolls—they are perfectly crispy. I also love their vermicelli bowls; they are so fresh and light, especially on a sunny Alki day.
The Vibe
Being right on Alki Ave, the location is unbeatable. Whether you’re sitting at the bar for a cocktail or grabbing a booth with friends, the service is always friendly and the food comes out fresh and hot.
Bottom line: This has quickly become my go-to spot. Whether it’s a rainy day craving for pho or a sunny afternoon for teriyaki and a drink, Alki Pho and Bar always delivers. 10/10 highly recommend!

what a great spot for a pho restaurant! after walking along the beach on a chilly day, nothing hits like a warm yummy pho in your belly
their broth was delicious.
shrimp spring rolls were good (wrapping was a little tougher than I’m used to).
thai tea was good (not as authentic as thai restaurant, but was still good :)).
nice, chill atmosphere
seatings by the windows are nice, seatings on the inside seem a little too dark for my preference.

You could smell this place from the beach, and it is incredible!!! We just had to stop by, we got a chicken bahn mi to split and rolls and we were happy and full by the end of it! Amazing view of the beach.

A great spot to eat with a nice view. I’ve got a small pho Bo with steak and Thai tea. The rich and flavorful broth mixed with tender meat and chewy noodles – yum! Thai tea was too sweet but good as well. Overall – great meal.

Beautiful sunny day, just stop in and loved it! Easy going vibes, and we had small plates. Fresh rolls were crunchy tasty, and the peanut sauce is some of the best I’ve had. Shrimp skewers were fun, with a good slightly spicy sauce. The chicken potstickers were nice and full of flavor, and not greasy at all.

Great location, great interior, and great food. I chose house fried rice with shrimp. I have to say, the veggies were really fresh, and It was a new combination I’ve never had, and I loved it. The view was beautiful, they have a full bar, and the staff was great. If you’re in alki, you have to go here! You’ll love it
