The service was not as good as I have had previous times there – they didn’t put in one diner’s order – but the food is good and I love the atmosphere. Feels a bit like you have traveled to Italy. We were bummed because we had been lured in by an email advertising a promotional pasta and wine pairing for the month of September but it turned out to not be happening for some reason. I really liked the milkshake that came with the sfingi (doughnuts) and the polenta fries were tasty. The risotto could have used some pepper and it was perhaps a little too past peak stone fruit season for the peaches in the summer salad.

I had only eaten at Sociale one previous time, sitting at their little two person bar a few years ago and had always wanted to return. I cannot fathom why I have not been back until this evening. What an exceptional night! The pillowy little rolls with delicious butter, cream of mushroom soup, a rockshrimp pasta that was not my favorite, but I could appreciate the flavors, and then a fall off the bone short rib with turnip “risotto”. Creative food, but still comforting and delicious.. Finished with an affogato, and throughout the meal, multiple glasses of wonderfully recommended wine. But most importantly, the service was truly exceptional. The servers, the runners, every single person treated me as though I was a regular, even though this is only my second time here. Beautiful food and beautiful people.

Delicious meal in a quaint and lively setting that feels like being at a cafe in Italy. Definitely recommend the Pappardelle with Braised Duck and Burrata.

Just finished dinner here and I have to say i’m pretty disappointed. The Wagyu was charred black and it tasted burnt. The Rabbit Black Pepper Fettuccine was EXTREMELY salty and had bones and cartilage throughout the shredded meat. It was inedible and plates were left full. The sauce was more like chicken cacciatore and nothing like the white sauce that was described. They also don’t take discovery card so watch out!!! We didn’t see that anywhere or even on the menu. The place is nice and I like the atmosphere but the waiter was busy on a Tuesday night and saw the full plates of food left and didn’t check in or ask how the food was or why the food wasn’t eaten. He just asked if we were done and took the full plates of uneaten food away. We were really excited to eat here as it had such good reviews but we left really disappointed, especially for the prices and low quality of food.

Amazing, hearty, Italian dishes. The veal and Eggplant Parmesan were to die for.
Edit: this was originally a 5 star review until the check came and our server had extreme attitude because he brought us the wrong wine and tried to charge us over $400 for it when we ordered a $85 bottle. This place is pathetic for that

I can’t believe that I haven’t reviewed Sociale before. I ate there last night for the sixth time. The food is always delicious. Last night I had the seared scallops with tomato jam and finely sauced peas. The dish is beautiful to look at and tastes unbelievably delicious. The crab salad was fresh and fabulous. The olive oil cake is a perfect ending to a great meal. Here’s a June 2023 update: I ate at Sociale again last Saturday. I ordered a morel mushroom with Madeira sauce that was amazing. The sweet carmelized onions blended beautifully with the nuttiness of the sauce and umami of the mushrooms. My friends had the egg plant parmesan and the other, a vegan bolognese sauce over pasta. The service was as amazing as always.

Very cute spot but easy to miss it if you’re just walking by. Very light + yummy pappardelle, rigatoni and burrata. Chocolate oblivion cake was good but the sea salt was a bit overpowering.

Visited this restaurant because acquaintance (a regular) highly recommended it. 3 1/2 stars to be exact. Truly feels that this restaurant is over-rated, based on the taste of the dishes.
Staff was no doubt courteous and professional; atmosphere wasn’t bad. Presentation of the dishes looked good. The Fried Olives was interesting. The Wagyu Braised Short Rib was excellent. But the other dishes, like the fish and pork, fell short of expectations. Also, wait time for the food was a bit too long.

5 stars, because when we’d said we’d like an extra plate to split a few dishes, they actually made two separate plates of food for us, so thoughtful! Thank you for such a kind gesture.
Their scallops are delicious, their hanger steak (pictured) was excellent. Great wine, and even a cute bathroom setup.
Loved their outside patio, though we ultimately chose to enjoy their indoor seating.
Charming place, go see for yourself!

Horrible experience
Very inattentive service, never brought our first course and the main course which was their chef special pork was raw , cold and red in center! Very expensive and tiny pour on wines
Never apologized or tried to get us something better to eat and acted like they did a huge favor not charging for the dish they never brought and the inedible pork.
We left hungry,
Avoid this place
