The Russ & Daughters Appetizing Factory is open in Brooklyn! Visit us and you will see our bakery where we make our bagels, bialys, babka, rugelach, breads and other traditional baked goods. Takeout only but There are tables to sit and eat. First time having nyc bagel and loved the quality of bread, cream cheese and variety of salmon options. But coming from Europe the price is too high for 21 for one bagel sandwich

I’ve been here several times and the service is always a bit lackluster. You have to repeat your order multiple times but it does come out correctly (as long as you keep your eyes on the line). In general it’s probably overpriced, but once in a while it’s a fun splurge when the craving hits. Pictured: egg everything, scallion cream cheese, and salmon roe.

This place is so expensive it’s become a running joke for me and my girl. $22 for a bagel with cream cheese, lox & salmon roe. It’s the most expensive offering on the menu but is not substantial for the price at all. Please see photo! Price & TAX PLUS TIP we were out $26.50 for 1 bagel! lol. Never again. What an absurd price. They charge $7 for 1 herring! lol!

I came here during the 5 borough bike tour which was happening on the same block and still was able to make it in! My wife and I enjoyed the classic lox and it was GREAT! We also bought Hamantaschen pastry that tasted very soft and delicious that we bought an extra one before leaving. From their bagel down to the house made cream cheese everything was good and I could see myself coming back another time.

Classic nyc institution for smoked fish and bagels. I went with the gravlax and veggie cream cheese with the “works”. The celery soda was tasty. And the cinnamon bun they was one of the best I ever tasted. Want to come back and try all their menu items!

I ordered a poppy seed bagel with smoked salmon and horseradish/dill cream cheese, along with a drip coffee, and it was very delicious. The poppy seed bagel was very light and fresh, and the salmon melted in my mouth like butter. I actually came specifically to this location because the one in the city is a little hard for me to order from. The drip coffee was hot and strong, just the way I like it. 5 stars!

When you want a classic bagel with salmon think no more just go to one of the locations of Rush and Daughters. Everything sold here is fresh and incredibly delicious. There is lots of options to chose from and the prices are very reasonable.

Excellent bagel. Fresh ingredients are the hallmark of Russ’ and its great everytime. You pay for the quality of the product and it’s worth it. The 9/10 Classic Lox is the best and the choice of cream cheese is the cream on top.
