First time and brought kids. Super courteous and considerate staff. Felt like eating at your aunties house. They are attentive and happy to answer questions.

Had the Thai bowl, my husband had the super spicy. Both my kids got the milk. The fillings were fantastic. Felt like a treasure hunt. You get a preset build of items per bowl but can order extra sides. You get your own personal hotpot so soup stays hot and no need to dip. I loved the Thai soup which had a lot of great seafood (head on shrimp, clams and soft shell crab). I’ll definitely try again with some different styles. Kids loves having their own bowls and it fel very safe for them to handle.

I drove and hour away to do something in town and decided to eat next door before we walked by and we could smell the food. We walked in to check it out and I’m so glad we stayed. I got the #12 and he got the #8. I am so impressed how much seafood they could fit into one bowl. I love my food hot and the candle under my bowl made it so I could eat everything at the perfect temperature.

Tasty Pot is a great spot if you’re craving flavors that remind you of Taiwan. They offer a wide variety of soup options, all rich in flavor and very satisfying. The service is excellent, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a cozy and authentic hot pot experience.

The food was ok. Everything looked amazing but tasted like it was frozen. With everything being extremely rubbery or squishy. The meat was almost flavorless and the broth was barely seasoned. I understand letting the meat season the broth but if the meat isn’t seasoned in the first place then the broth will basically be hot water. The atmosphere was great. Clean and tidy. The service was not great. Never came to check up on us or refilled our waters. Overall I probably won’t come back here. Didn’t really enjoy the experience.

Visiting Portland, A friend wants a hot pot. It was not busy. I ordered kimchi dumpling, mild. I should have ordered medium. The bean and soy sauce mixture reminded me of Thai sukiyaki sauce. The sauce added extra favor. There were varieties in the soup, dumplings were good. I added vermicelli noodle instead of rice. It is extra cost for instant noodle. I did not care for sausage. Service was good. They checked on us to refill the soup.

Good Taiwanese hot pot if you’re in the area. Ordered four different hot pots and each one had their own unique taste and style. Absolutely an experience specially if you have not tried this type of soup. Lots of meats and other toppings.

Tasty hot pot. Good individual sized portions or larger ones to share. I like being able to add more meat and other add on options to get more because they are a bit lite on the meat.

The flames went out on one of our heaters which wasn’t a big deal while the other burned so hot it was making the soup boil so keep an eye out on your flame and make adjustments or ask for help.

Overall good experience and hits the spot when you want some hot soup.

Individualized hot pots of various broths to choose from with preset combinations of meat, seafood, veggies plus other add-ons for additional charge. The nice thing is that you can share without an upcharge; you’re not forced to order your own. A great option, if you are not a big eater.

Reservations recommended for larger parties or at least call ahead, else it can be a wait. We had a table of 14 and called at 5pm, when they opened to reserve for evening.

Now on to the food…hot pots ordered ranged from beef, lamb, stinky tofu, healthy veggie, kimchi dumpling, Thai flavor, to Taiwanese supreme. Spice levels you can choose = none, mild, medium, spicy, extra spicy.

I’ll only cover a few of the above.

First, the kimchi dumpling hot pot… this was good but expected more of a Korean touch to it. “Kimchi” was mostly filling the pot with nappa cabbage, not actually fermented kimchi, like you get in Korean restaurants. The dumplings were a few, not much flavor to it. More like a few frozen ones tossed in to the soup, which then broke down, as it cooked. The rest of the ingredients were typical hot pot base items of tofu, fish cake, rice cake, with some thin lean shaved pork slices. This would’ve been even better, if they had sliced pork belly instead. Glad we added the pork intestines and blood sausage to it. The pot it came in was smaller than the other options, which was less broth to start and all the food filled to the rim to cook. Thankfully, you can get more broth added as the meal goes on.

The healthy veggie hot pot was really tasty with large tomato slices that really added to the broth, plus a decent amount of vegetables. Add an egg or two to this to really bring it all together!

The stinky tofu hot pot also a nice combination of ingredients. Stinky tofu was reminiscent of Taiwanese fried stinky tofu, except this was a soft non fried version. Again, intestines and blood sausage work well in this pot too.

Most of the hot pots were heavy on nappa cabbage as a filler. Each one comes with a free option of bowl of rice or vermicelli noodles. Again, you can add more items to your order to put into the hot pot.

All in all, it’s a solid 4 out of 5 stars for food and service. Staff were super busy trying to clear tables and seat people in line. Tablets are used at the table for self order entry. Once submitted, wait staff brings you the food. They tried their best to fill water glasses and bring out food, which it didn’t take long to get served.

Would go back, especially if you’re in the mood for hot pot on a cold day. Prices are reasonable, expect $20/person on average.

We have been looking for Taiwanese style hot pot in Oregon. Before Tasty pot opens, we had to visit other states when we were craving authentic Taiwanese food. Everyone gets to choose his/her own soup base and protein choice. No one has to compromise! Don’t forget to have a old fashioned style Taiwanese black tea! The restaurant is cozy and with enough seating. But still very pack during lunch time, be prepared to wait in line if you come during lunch rush hour!
