Recently moved here from DC, and this is by far the best service I’ve experienced at a restaurant in Annapolis. Our server, Renaldo, provided us with absolutely impeccable service. Serving is something that makes or breaks the experience, in my opinion, and Renaldo understands the craft well. He offered good recommendations in response to our questions, and his supporting service staff was also great at never letting our water glasses get below half-full and always promptly removed dishes out of the way.
I ordered the double-thigh? chicken dish and it was simple, but well done. Our appetizer which had ricotta cheese, herbs, and a cooked red sauce (maybe eggplant too?) in a small skillet was a great starter with their good-quality sliced baguettes. The olive oil that they provide complimentary with the bread is also incredibly high quality and full of fruity and nutty flavor. (NOT easy to find in the states at the grocery store!)
We finished our meal with a traditional espresso and an affogato and left very satisfied, talking about how great the atmosphere, service, and my chicken dish was. My boyfriend didn’t LOVE his pasta dish (penne à la vodka maybe?) but thoroughly enjoyed the appetizer and when he sampled the chicken thigh dish.
It’s expensive here, but it’s absolutely worth it for us for special occasions and the occasional treat! 10/10.

My boyfriend and I came here two days in a row and both times we had impeccable food and service, but we have to highlight our server tonight, Lenny, for outstanding service! He has been our favorite server we’ve had at any restaurant we’ve been too, and we frequent michelin restaurants where we’ve had lesser service than what Lenny provided, The mushroom mascarpone pasta was our very favorite, the second being the penne allá vodka, the third being the gnocchi with the basil sauce, and i personally very much enjoyed the spinach and ricotta balls with the meat sauce. The drinks are amazing as well! One of my favorite espresso martinis in annapolis. This is definitely my boyfriend and I’s new go to date night spot when we’re here in annapolis, if you can, ask for Lenny!

Absolutely amazing experience! From the moment you walk in with a reservation, immediately greeted and seated. Everyone that works here is so friendly and helpful.
Food is made with love to perfection. From the mocktails to the ricotta and spinach balls, to the ribeye and gnocchi everything was amazing and freshly prepared. Scallops were cooked to perfection with a delicious sauce as well. There wasn’t anything left on the plates, I couldn’t put my fork down the entire night.
The dessert platter and cappuccino was the perfect way to end the night. Service was impeccable from ALL the employees. Everyone is so helpful and genuinely seemed happy to be there.
The atmosphere was dim and delightful. I had such a great experience and I’m already planning on returning soon. Thank you so much for the perfect evening that was much needed. 20/10 experience

Love love love this place! The food is always delicious and the service top notch. The new location has a very different atmosphere from the old one but it’s okay. Our server was great, attentive, and very helpful with menu questions. We will definitely come back.

The food and atmosphere were great. To start we had a “50-50” which was their take on an old fashioned. For dinner we ordered the special which was a prawns and scallop pasta and a fillet with truffles, both were very good.
Then our waiter disappeared, several times. Between him and the bartender who was attempting to fill in for him the ball was obviously dropped on our table. The restaurant was not busy so there was really no excuse for the horrible service. It took around 40 minutes after dinner for the host to notice we were staring at the staff and to send our waiter over. Who gave us a complementary cheesecake, which was fantastic. But overall we could have had a way better experience had Vic, our waiter, actually acted like he cared about the experience.
I feel bad when the chef and the back of the house do a good job just to have the front line mess up their work.
Also we choose this restaurant for our first wedding anniversary dinner, because it was so highly rated and recommended by a local. This was a disappointing experience but the food was good so I’ll rate it middle of the road.

We loved the food and atmosphere so much here the first couple of times we went, so we decided to hold our wedding reception here! The staff made everything easy from the beginning to the end. The bartenders at our event were awesome! Food is incredible! Would highly recommend for anyone thinking of hosting a wedding reception or an event.

Acqua al 2 has been a favorite of our families everytime we are in Italy, when visiting DC recently we knew we had to try the US location. No regrets! It was amazing, same elevated atmosphere with a little bit of American restaurant flare which we liked, service was incredible, speedy, and delightful. The food was delicious, and specialty steaks brought us right back to our times in Florence IT. So happy to have finally gone, definitely worth the trip!

High end and hip Italian restaurant with the other and first location in Florence. Went for a birthday dinner. The Secondi or meat entrees leaned heavily to steaks. The pasta and salads were enough for us and delicious.The Tuscan tomato soup was excellent. I had the Italian cheese cake for dessert and it was one of the best I have ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant!
