Terrible portions NOT WORTH THE MONEY. $18.99 for a lamb dinner, and it only came with 8 (bite sized) pieces of lamb and a tiny container of rice. The butter chicken came with 9 bite sized peices of chicken. The naan bread tastes and has the texture like it was microwaved (it probably was). The pakora tasted old as well. The only redeeming (edible) item on the menu that we had was the samosa chaat but still overpriced. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Total cost was over $70. This is the Petawawa location.

Fantastic Indian cuisine! One of the best I’ve had. Refreshing to see Pembroke have this kind of authentic flavour to the neighbourhood. We ordered a bunch of dishes and shared them. One of the best restaurants in Pembroke. Highly recommend!
You can order various ranges of heat. The medium is relatively spicy. I could have personally gone spicier because I love the heat, but because we were sharing, we got medium and they found it spicy but in a good way. The way I would expect Indian heat to be served.

One of a surprisingly rare breed of unique east Indian culinary experiences. This might be in a small town but it is a unique blend and fusion sure to impress anyone (even seasoned palettes from the City :p) Be sure to ask your server about their history and food regions and be dazzled with their knowledge and pride in the food.
The dishes were outstandingly cooked. Light on curry and big in flavor. The dishes focus on great ingredients and flavors instead of burying the food in a curry sauce. The samosas make a fantastic starter and I highly recommend trying the Lamb Mahkni.
What ever you get, make sure to get Peshawari Naan. Ask your server if you want to know what’s in it but I’d recommend trying it first before you cave and ask!

The food here is absolutely delicious, and when you ask for spicy that make it proper spicy none of that pansy stuff lol. Great prices for the large portions you receive. I’ve eaten a dozens of Indian restaurants across Canada and this is definitely in the top 5. Only reason why I have 3 stars for atmosphere is for the time being it’s take out only. Must try!

I have been ordering from Zaffran for quite a while and I have never been disappointed. A friend and I went in to the restaurant yesterday for the first time and it was absolutely wonderful! The vibe was awesome. It was so lively, upbeat, and clean. Last time I ordered from them it was only about 25 minutes from time of order to delivery. They were so fast they had to call me as I was out back with my dog and didn’t think they would be at my house yet.
The service has always been incredibly friendly and I feel like a valued regular every time I order from them. When in the restaurant yesterday the server (I asked his name and then forgot – Im terrible with names, it started with an R) was so fun and offered us suggestions from the menu and explained the different tastes but we politely said no to stick with our beloved usual – the shrimp korma! We also got the vegetable samosas, coconut shrimp (amazing!), papad, and two orders of naan.
When the deliciously fresh food came my friend and I looked at each other and laughed as when we get the food for delivery, we just mix it all together but how it came in the restaurant didn’t really allow for that… so we called our wonderful waiter over and asked if he could explain how we should eat this in public so as to not look like completely uncultured white people and he was more than happy to explain how the meal is traditionally eaten.Which by the way, was delicious and I’ll never go back.
I cannot recommend Zaffran enough and urge you to make the trip in person if you haven’t yet and it was just such a nice experience. While the food is still amazing through delivery or takeout, having it fresh from the kitchen and plated the way it is meant to be eaten was so nice.

Wonderful spot. Went Saturday evening for dinner. Ordered butter chicken, aloo Gobi and garlic naan. Was enough for three with leftovers to take home.
Everything arrived quickly and was piping hot. We will go back when we have more time to try some of the tandoor dishes. They take up to thirty mins to cook.

First time ordering for takeout. Online portal worked well for ordering, food was ready when it was supposed to be. Friendly staff upon pickup. The food was amazing!! Best Butter Chicken I’ve ever had. We also ordered the Kadai Goat curry, vegetable samosas, tandoori roti and side garlic rice. So much food, and so flavourful. We will be ordering again!

Delicious meal. Finally a legit Indian restaurant in Pembroke. Had the butter chicken, lamb korma and palak paneer, all were great, right amount of spicyness and wonderful flavours. Can wait to taste more or even better dine-in!

It was my birthday on march 11th. I did catering from zaffran and they gave us the naan which were cooked from outside and undercooked from inside. And they were not chewable at any cost. I called them to explain and tell them that i am not satisfied and they gave us the pathetic excuse that we were late for pickup 15 minutes. I am indian i know how the food works. My friend called the guy and he was offering refund like we are begging to him. Won’t recommend.
