Definitely ou favorite in Big sky, we keep going back every time we visit ! The menu is delicious with a very unique variety from elk, pheasant, bison, walleye. This place perfectly captures the authentic Montana vibe.

Great place to try some high quality meats and modern dishes. Came here with a group of 6 for dinner and basically tried 80% of the menu with dessert, multiple drinks and it was less than $800 of the total bill, not bad for the 6 of us(all things considered).

Our favorites were the bison tenderloin, the elk tip special and the mussels appetizer. The only mediocre thing was the brie appetizer and the cheese cake dessert. The mussels were most of the table’s favorite, and they were really good, I just personally thought the flavors were too pungent for the delicate meat entrees served afterwards and just not sure how the flavors of the dish fits into the overall concept of the menu but as a standalone dish it might be the best tasting dish on the menu.

Highly recommended for a special dinner, a little more pricey than the average but it was our last night and we wanted something special and the place did not disappoint! Make sure you get reservations though! Could not get a table otherwise. Highly recommend.

The Cabin is a wonderful restaurant. Starting from the service and ending with the food, everything was perfect during our visit to this spot. We were greeted well and the waiter was also very attentive and friendly. He was coming to the table several times and was around if we needed anything. The menu had a good selection of foods, and the two dishes that we tried were amazing. The pork chop was cooked perfectly, and the pheasant was delicious. This restaurant deserves its high rating. We had a fantastic experience.

Food was mediocre at best, especially given the prices. The service was horrendous. We had a young male server with a mustache (he didn’t say his name or I’d name him) who was rude, offensive, short, and the opposite of friendly. He ruined the entire experience for us, truly. We had eaten here in previous years without issue, but will not be returning. Take your money elsewhere for a quality meal and better service.

We sat at the bar and our bartender was very friendly and super knowledgeable about everything on the menu from drinks to their food. She was super attentive and polite. Be reg refreshing for a younger bartender.

The owner Matty Kirkland is doing a knockout job to make the Cabin really the best high-end restaurant in Big Sky and the region. He has decades of experience and is completely committed to quality. Not just the incredible food but definitely the service. He is obsessed with perfection and it shows. The petit filets, fish entrees, wild game offerings and salads are impeccable, and the cocktails and bar can’t be beat. Go there: you’ll love it. And Matty will come by personally to greet you. That’s real Montana.

Had a good bison and elk tenderloin. Server was attentive. They kept my credit card when I forgot it. They kept asking if I could afford dinner when I was getting a table which was weird since we were the only minorities

This is such a wonderful restaurant at Big Sky Resort – if you’re visiting the ski area, you should definitely make the effort to come here at least once. We’ve been coming here for many years and have always been extremely happy with the food and service. Prices were high, yes – but that’s expected at a ski resort. If you come here, you MUST try the brie in puff pastry because it is to die for, and their bison and elk dishes are fantastic as well. I don’t think they have their bison ribs anymore, but if they bring them back, definitely try them. However, this is one of those places where you could try pretty much anything on the menu and be very happy, so you can bring a large group and everyone will leave satisfied! All in all, a great place, and one we will continually come back to each year we visit Big Sky!

Greatly let down by the service and execution. Our pheasant was poorly prepared to the point of being inedible. The service recovery was non-existent; the waiter treated us as if we were inexperienced diners rather than acknowledging the kitchen’s error. Families should also note that the kids’ menu is poor quality and very expensive. We won’t be returning
