That said, the service unfortunately started off rough and lengthy. A first-day employee was assigned to our table and clearly hadn’t been trained. We ended up waiting over 45 minutes without receiving our first course (soup and scone). The staff did acknowledge afterward that it was his first day and he was thrown in, which we appreciated, but it did impact the overall flow of the afternoon.
Once service got back on track for the most part, the food was overall good and the tea itself was delicious, favorite was passion peach green!
Personally, I prefer tea rooms that allow guests to try multiple teas rather than selecting just one. We opted to order individual pots per person and shared amongst ourselves, which worked, but I do love when places encourage tea sampling. I’ve started “tea hopping” across Southern California, and some tea rooms offer unlimited tea selections as part of the experience, which makes it extra fun.
Parking was a bit confusing at first. If you visit on a Sunday, there’s no street parking limit.
Overall, a beautiful setting with great tea — just hoping service becomes more consistent moving forward.
The space feels like a little English manor — cozy fireplace, beautiful décor, and live harp music. The tea service was well-balanced with savory and sweet options, and the scones with clotted cream were especially lovely.
Perfect for celebrations or a relaxing afternoon. Truly a beautiful and memorable place.
return here with my fiancée or Bridgerton loving gal friends. Such a fun experience.
We ordered the premium tea set, which comes with mostly seafood bites. I liked the variety of food and presentation. The scones were delicious. Food flavor and quality was missing slightly for me: deviled egg yokes were salty, the fruit cream is on the sweeter side. I didn’t try the shrimp cocktail as I thought it weird to have this much seafood for afternoon tea. Regardless of some misses in the seafood department, I would come back to try other tea sets with tea sandwiches.
The staff were all friendly and attentive. They let us know that there will be a private event in the main room and offered to help us move to another room so we can continue to enjoy our tea.
Something interesting happened there: they have a photographer walking around to take photos of you and your friends. Later she comes back with printed photos in frames for sale. It’s $25 each before tax.
The tea set is $88 per person with one large pot of tea to share between 2 people.
Ordered the Madeline tea set which comes with , soup, salad , scones and a whole variety of petit foods. They have a set with the traditional tea sandwiches, but this option was interesting and included a lot of seafood. There was crab, shrimp cocktail, fish, risotto , and desserts. The service was really friendly. There is a photographer walking around if you want to take formal frames pictures to go for $25 dollars.
Afterwards we walked around in the small garden outside which was decorated with Christmas items and took cute pictures together
Be sure to make reservations ahead of time as they do get booked up, it was a full house when we went. There’s plenty of free 2 hour parking outside on the street on a weekend.
I tried the afternoon tea set and everything was so thoughtfully done: fresh scones, a well-balanced salad, and a three-tier tower of warm bites, cold dishes, and desserts. Even the tea menu was impressive!
Service was super sweet and helpful too. It’s only open Fri–Sun, so definitely make a reservation. Perfect for birthdays, catch-ups, or a special date. Loved it!
