Nicks Downtown Diner is a local family owned and operated business. We are proud to be part of a community that is rich in history with cafes and diners from the days when things moved a little slower. Our goal is simply to remind our customers that places like that still exist. A cozy, hip hangout reminiscent of the diners and cafes from past where the food was made with pride and the service was brought with a smile.
Cheerful eatery serving all-day breakfast, plus burgers & homemade pies in a cozy, vintage setting.

Wow!!! This place is amazing. A nostalgic little Diner is Cannon Falls, MN. Right off the 4-lane Hwy. 52 then a couple blocks to the downtown. This place is a must stop at if you are in the area. Homestyle,, homemade comfort food. Our food was amazing! We sat back by the kitchen and watched numerous amazing looking plate come out. Old-school malts and shakes, homemade pie, and made from scratch meals. You need to check this place out.

Very cute diner with delicious food! We got to sit on the nice patio to have brunch. The food was fantastic. I got the cinnamon roll french toast (wow!!!) with bacon and mom got the American breakfast (classic choice, haha). The staff were so kind and sweet. Service was quick too!

I was biking the trail and stopped at Nick’s last Monday. I had three scrambled eggs, breakfast ham and coffee. The service was fast and friendly but the egs were dried out and had a slightly odd flavor. The ham was good and they bring you your own carafe of coffee with cream in an actual creamer instead of those little plastic things so A+ on that! My bill was $11 and change. Fair enough! With a good tip I was at $18. Nick’s Diner is at the halfway point from Red Wing on the bike trail. It’s great to have a good place to stop for a break.

Happend to stop here due to work. Hands down a solid place to get lunch. The chili is probably one of the best I have had. The burger was fresh and large side of fries. Definitely recommend stopping here and getting a bite. The servers are friendly and welcoming.

The food tasted homemade. Diner small and cozy. Saw they had an outdoor eating area. Prices were very reasonable.

I find small town Minnesota diners to be hit or miss, and this one was definitely a hit! Good coffee and pie. The fried green tomato egg benedict on English muffin was excellent. Glad I stopped

I had the BLT with avocado. Very yummy. Side of onion rings. Top notch. I saw some Miller High Life beer. Did not have any, but wish I did.

Very delicious. They have both lunch and breakfast all day. Nice seasoning on all sides and entrees. Nice vibe and waitresses. Burgers were well cooked and onion rings + fries were crispy to perfection.
