Cook’s Steakhouse & Saloon is open & we want to be your new “hometown” bar. We have completely remodeled the place from the ground up to bring a fresh and welcoming new restaurant and bar to the great city of Elko. We are bringing a contemporary western bar to this cowboy town. We have a full dining area along with a full bar and back patio. When you pull up a chair in our restaurant you will feel right at home! Offering a variety of steaks, seafood, and pasta during our dinner hours. Besides the restaurant we will also be offering catering on and off site.

My wife have been here multiple times and been very satisfied every visit. Food is always solid, service excellent and we especially enjoy the noise levels being more mild than other restaurants in town so it’s perfect for our dates.

Came in with my boss and a coworker for dinner before work on Sunday. We came right at 4 so we were quickly seated.
The waitress didn’t give her name at least that I recall, but the bill informed me it was Jess.
We ordered our drinks, and that was already kind of a bust since they didn’t have their strawberry purée ready, so I did have to sit with a normal lemonade but she quickly got me my strawberry lemonade so that was fine. I get it, they had just opened.
We ordered appetizers, onion rings and cheese curds, which came after about 5 minutes and they were delicious. We then ordered our entree’s.
I tried to order a 8 oz sirloin, but they were “out” which was weird because you’re a steakhouse and you just opened ? so i settled with the 6 oz. and some Alfredo.
We sat for probably 45 minutes before we got our food. the waitress didn’t come over until our drinks were all empty. They were just chatting at the bar.
I will say that was one of the best steaks i’ve had BUT my boss and i ordered medium and it was medium rare. My pasta was also cold once it finally arrived. I didn’t end up eating it.
The waitress was fine, not super friendly, and attentive. Nothing really above and beyond to deserve a good tip.
It was a beautiful building. great western atmosphere. i don’t think it’s much fun until the wee hours. wouldn’t recommend coming in at opening times. was excepting a lot more.
I get it; it was early in opening and they had a ton of pickup orders that probably took priority over us. But, we’re here inside trying to enjoy the service and atmosphere. I don’t think we should have had to wait nearly an hour for cold food. Got our hopes up with the appetizers.

Great food and service! Small town feeling. Large serving sizes. Prices$$ but worth it! Ribs were delicious and fell off the bone. Dirty fettuccine bowl was delicious. Would eat there again!

A wonderful place to eat and a great environment for conversation. Had the ribeye steak sandwich w onion rings. Onions rings cooked perfectly and the sandwich phenomenal. Staff was amazingly friendly and professional. From our server to the manager, everyone took the time to make sure everything was good. Definitely a place for a quick meal or to bring the family.

Great atmosphere, super friendly and attentive staff and the food was amazing! Hubby had the Bacon Sriracha burger with bacon sriracha fries which he devoured. I had the Yellowstone Sammy upgrade with prime rib with deep fried cauliflower in buffalo sauce which was absolutely amazing! We will definitely be back.

My friends and I happened upon the restaurant during a quick visit to Elko. We opted to sit at the bar. Everyone working was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was amazing and felt like we were catching up with old friends.
The halibut and baked potato were delicious. But the drinks were amazing!
I highly recommend anyone give them and the drink menu a try.
