This ruined it for me! The tomatoes were rotten, I spit one out, the fresh fruit wasn’t fresh (except one cut up strawberry and 3 pieces of orange) the melon was almost see through, and I left part of my food uneaten!!
There were 2 people in there besides my family, and we never even were asked if we wanted refills, until we were leaving.
We will NEVER go back, I honestly don’t even know how they are open!!
Too add to this great experience as soon as you walk out the door someone vomited, so that was there!! I didn’t take a photo of that!

This IHOP location is very nice! We got seated immediately and service was quick and efficient! The server Amanda was super nice and helpful! We were greeted by the General Manager Jason which had never happened at any restaurant I’ve been to! You can tell he really cares about his employees! He assisted the server with carrying our food and told us to enjoy and was super nice! I would definitely come back! Thank you guys for making the night even better! 🙂

First, I would like to say that it was our first time having breakfast or even dining at this NEWer location, for that matter.
The place was exceptionally clean and spacious.
Our wait wasn’t long for our order to be taken, which was rather fast, to be honest, and the food was brought to our table even faster than expected.
The food is fresh, fulfilling, and pipping HOT!! Just how we preferred it.
PROS: My husband LOVES his big fluffy French toast. The strawberries were fresh. He was very pleased. His made to order omelet was perfectly how he wanted it to be. His turkey bacon was crispy just how he ordered it.
CONS: Those hashbrowns were NOT to my liking. A flattened/smashed shredded potatoes – it’s definitely a NO for me. Bland and burnt. I’ll try homefries IF they are menu option.
We were seated close to the kitchen… the woman who cooked the food was hilarious, seemed to be a ball of fire, and great coworker to work with. Making the job fun for the staff, especially relating to the gen z crew.
I definitely would return for the overall service. I hope the establishment does not change.

Overall outstanding service, outstanding quality of food, and a nice atmosphere to take you family. If we didn’t frequent breakfast dining often, since we both love our homemade breakfasts. If it wasn’t for that

I took my 7-year-old son there two weekends ago just to have a father and son one-on-one breakfast. I figured I’d choose IHOP because I’ve been living in Middletown for 5 years now in hadn’t eaten at this location once, so I’d been wanting to try it for myself.
I entered the establishment with my son, and we were greeted and seated into a booth immediately. After that was when things went bad for me.
After we were seated. My son and I sat there and waited for 20 minutes. A few service people walked by our booth several times, and not a single person bothered to acknowledge us. Not to greet, not to ask if what we wanted anything to drink, not to give us a menu, nothing. Yet I saw customers across from our booth being serviced.
After waiting patiently for 20 minutes, my son and I left. First impressions are everything, and this was a horrible one. I will not be attempting to eat there again.
I will stick with Bob Evans. I’ve never had these issues eating there.

There is rarely anyone in there which can be offsetting, and whenever I go, there is always an issue regarding the food. To make a long story short, it would seem that they have newer staff and some may need more practice/assistance. The one main thing that was upsetting was when an omelet I ordered came out, the waitress said, “sorry, our cook is new and couldn’t quite flip the omelette,” It came out smaller than the omelettes normally are and the appearance wasn’t too flattering. I understand we all have bad days. But, this has happened more than 3 times for me and with this same type of thing showing up on other reviews, isn’t a good sign.

We’ve lived in Middletown for over two years, and as a family that loves a good breakfast, we’ve avoided this location due to the negative reviews. Tonight, though, I didn’t feel like cooking and asked ChatGPT if there were any local restaurants offering kids’ specials. That’s when IHOP came up with Kids Eat Free Monday–Friday from 4 pm–10 pm.
I called to confirm because I’d never heard of it — and it was TRUE. The only thing that costs extra is their drinks. We were the only patrons there tonight. Just our family of four. Families… are you crazy? Kids eat free!!
From the start, the service completely exceeded expectations. Our hostess and server, Camryn B., was fantastic — friendly, upbeat, attentive, and great with kids. She even brought the kids’ meals out early without us having to ask, which any parent knows is a huge win. She also shared that the restaurant is under new management and that many of the negative reviews reflect the previous regime, which honestly explains a lot, because our experience couldn’t have been more different.
The kids’ menu deserves a shoutout on its own — check out this menu. It’s surprisingly extensive, offering both breakfast and dinner options.
The only minor negative was that they were out of tartar and cocktail sauce, but honestly, how many fish dinners are they really selling? Not a deal breaker.
Overall: great service, awesome food, and a calm, enjoyable experience. We’ll absolutely be back. Highly recommend giving this place another chance.
And for anyone who thinks this is “just a breakfast place,” it’s not. They also offer solid lunch and dinner options.

I like the atmosphere of the place.
The young African-American gentleman Jason was very courteous .
He was also my service person .
They’ve been open for under a year now .
The selections they have is very wide from breakfast to lunch to dinner .
The service was quite exceptional. The food was great.
Even the music was very appropriate all different types of genre.
Overall outstanding service, outstanding quality of food, and a nice atmosphere to take you family.

Went there about 3x. 3rd time is the last for me. The servers need to be trained better. Long and untamed hair should not be flying around in customers food. Hair net? Hands should not be touching the mouths of the cups and glasses especially if u going to have an attitude when a straw is asked for. Pay attention to what a customer orders and do not bring the wrong menu item. STAY OFF PHONES, ESPECIALLY IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS. Be mindful of conversations.

In long: Tried this place out for the first time and wasn’t too impressed. Had a coupon which was cool. Pancakes were nice and the food was good overall, but my sausage was not cooked through. Hash browns were a no-go.

The server we had at this IHOP deserves a raise, and if she doesn’t get one, I want to encourage her to come work with us for the state of Delaware. Moving forward, starting with our server, she was nothing short of amazing!!! She was the hostess, waiter, “busboy” at times and more and still kept an amazing attitude !!
The food was really good and everything was on point, if you visit this IHOP, I ask that you please, please be patient with the server because this isn’t the 1st time we visited this IHOP & they had one person doing everything, however some how, some way, the one person pulls off an amazing experience and the cook has good food….
In closing IHOP please give this server a raise or promote her. Also the cook and who ever else, that gave her some assistance deserves a bonus.
