The staff were polite and kind. I love the southern hospitality with graceful friendliness. I met the owner and she is a wonderful lady with a magnificent story of how she started her restaurant. I felt at home and they treated me like family. They can cook y’all. They treated me with love and respect. I totally recommend this place! Support them and give them love!!! Great restaurant and staff!!! Oh and try the fried salmon!!!

Atmosphere, simple home town. Locals all know each other, but are just as friendly to outsiders like myself. Visited Gladys’s many times during summers spent in Lex. My favorites include caramel cake, fried pickles, hamburger steak smothered in onions and gravy.
