Three Monkeys is hands down one of the best bar experiences around. Even when the place is absolutely slammed, the staff stays calm, organized, and on top of everything. You can tell they work as a team — drinks come out fast, food is hot, and nobody gets overlooked. That kind of coordination under pressure says a lot.
The specials are awesome, the music trivia and regular trivia nights are always a blast, and the whole vibe feels like Cheers — welcoming, familiar, and fun. It’s the kind of spot where you walk in and feel like you belong.
And the food? Some of the best bar food in town. The wings might honestly be the best around — perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. And the Reuben is kickass. No other way to put it.
If you want great energy, great staff, and seriously good food, Three Monkeys delivers every time

Never a bad meal have I been served here. The servers a friendly and they have good libations to choose from. An entertaining epic fail show plays on one of the TVs in the dining area just to make the meal interesting.

Absolutely fantastic food and top notch service with rotating waitresses. I recommend building your own monkey burger with a fried egg. Fried green beans were also good.

Food is great with very reasonable prices. Service is also almost perfect with a good atmosphere that reflects the wonderfully low-key place this is. I love it. The only reason for the lack of five stars is that online ordering is available per the website (at the time of the last order) but did not work. That has happened a couple times, so you end up having to call. That also would not be a big deal, but they get busy and the phone call gets forgotten about.
Won’t stop me from eating here. I just won’t be able to really go pick it up, which is the only option some days. In any case…great place with great food.

I wish I would have read more reviews! I thought it was just my experience or I wasn’t “reading the room” correctly BUT NO, like another reviewer stated I should have walked right out, they were not friendly AT ALL.towards me. As I was sitting waiting on my order, other customers started coming in, all of them were greeted and there was much more interaction with them from the staff. I was the only person of color there at this time (11am).
So, my order was taken by an older short lady, I didn’t get her name. I was asked if I needed to see a menu, but I already knew what I wanted. I ordered the 6 wings well done, Carolina gold and the original steak sandwich I wanted everything that it came with but I asked if they could add lettuce and tomatoes, the waiter proceeded to pull the menu out for me to read what it came with, I told her I understand what it comes with but can you just add lettuce and tomato “yeah, got it” she replies, what sides! I explained I didn’t want any sides, and she cut me off and stated well I can’t change the price. I should have left at that moment but needless to say they didn’t add the lettuce and tomatoes to my sandwich nor did they cook my wings well done the steak sandwich was so tough and chewy I gave it to my dog. They will never get my business again! I relocated to this area after retiring from the military, and the racism I’ve experienced in this area is mind blowing

Service was great, and they have the least expensive menu I’ve seen in years. Or food was excellent, beer was cold, and there were plenty of tvs for the games. It does get busy, you seat yourself, and the service you receive is prompt.

Another great meal here. Get corn nuggets. Or get hand cut fries. Kids had their meals and they were fine. Can’t go wrong here good food, good prices, good service.

Food was good. I had a cheesesteak, NY I believe but it was dry, a little suprised….I would not order it again! My wife said she’s had had cheesesteaks here before and they were greasy…maybe an off day. Either way wings, and other food the family had was all good. I’ll add a pic. Taking away one food star. Again I would think their cheesesteak is usually better. All other food here has been quite good. Oh side salad was good!
Food was splendid! Buger was juicy and Not medium….fries were amazing! Kids tater tots amazing! Corn nuggets….um Love this place. Our family will be back! Keep it up, change nothing! Love this place. Thanks great waitress!

Really laid back to chill spot. Doesn’t look like a big establishment from the outside but it’ll surprise you. There’s room for parties of 6-8 but the setup of the place is somewhat awkward. We found an open space but still felt like we were in a corner. Furthermore, it’s just not prime setup for TV sets. They had plenty but it’s not optimized for viewing. Also, it’s a little too chill. You don’t wait for a waiter to seat you. You just seat yourself and somewhere in all the commotion, a waiter finds you. Not going to lie, it didn’t take long but it’s just uneasy wondering if they saw you or not. The menu was not over complicated but it didn’t leave much out. Wings were jumbo sized and great price. I’d say the best price around the greater Charlotte area!!! They don’t go light on any servings and again the prices weren’t crazy. Definitely a cool spot and we’ll be back again for sure.

The burgers were OK, cooked more “done” than medium as stated on the menu. Disappointing because have seen so many comments from people on social media about the great burgers at 3 Monkeys. They were large, fresh bun, numerous options for toppings so build your own. House made chips good. Wait staff friendly and attentive, checked frequently to make sure everything was right & if we needed anything. Uncomfortable because no social distancing in place. Luckily we found a corner away from the crowd but one wall with booths was completely filled with no spacing. Appeared some tables might have been removed. Our first visit so unable to tell. Bar area crowded, shoulder to shoulder and no masks (but acknowledge you can’t eat or drink with a mask on). We might give the burgers another try since so many people have said how good they are but it will be carry-out, not dining in. Too many people crowded in a small space.

Had the Original Steak Sandwich with a Cole Slaw side. Also tried the Fried Green Beans.
The green beans were good(very similar to TGIFridays although not as good). The steal sandwich was just ok. Wrong type of steak for a sandwich. Parts of it were difficult to get a bite of. Definitely a bit tough.
It comes with grilled onions and peppers. Honestly all I tasted were peppers. I would not order it again. The Cole Slaw was not for me. Tere was an odd taste. Couldn’t identify it.
