I stopped in for a pre-party dinner before heading to Winterfest of Lights (literally right across the street), and this spot did not disappoint. The ambiance was festive, the cover band was amazing, and the drinks were perfect—especially the Season Mule!
The food? Outstanding. I normally don’t even eat oysters, but the char-broiled oysters were so good I ended up eating the entire plate. The cup of gumbo, jambalaya, and stuffed mushrooms with crabmeat were all seasoned beautifully and full of flavor. Every dish tasted fresh, rich, and authentically prepared.
Both the hostess and our server were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, making the experience even better. From start to finish, it was a whole vibe—great energy, great food, great service.
Highly recommend Bourbon Street on the Beach for anyone visiting Ocean City. I’ll definitely be back!
He had the rice and beans with gumbo. Perfect spices not too hot for me to sneak a taste! I had the quesadilla (basic but delicious).
Cocktails were good! Will go back
Venue allowed anyone by 17:00 to enter for free, so they filled up the bar area and All of the tables.
Then they had a dining room off to the left and out of view of the event, and that was filled too. Then they have another rear dining room back at the restrooms which is where we were seated. There was No view obviously of the event and when the band started playing, you could only make out a low base; like walking up to a car with the radio on, but all of the windows up. Couldn’t make out any words or rhythm, a soft dinner table conversation could easily be understood.
We asked about being able to see the show when it started and the woman seating people said it didn’t matter; because that entire area was filled to capacity by 16:30 anyway. So all the locals enjoyed a free concert while the ticket holders sat in a rear dining area and could not attend. There was no room to stand between the dining tables and the bar without blocking their views and I was told by security that I could not stand there and block the aisles that it was a safety thing. So we bought our share of alcohol & food, and still paid for concert tickets that we could not use. I understand that with a setup like that; while running a bar and restaurant you don’t want to turn paying customers away. However, you should make it clear that before the show starts, ticket holders will be seated in the concert area. So, spent a bunch of money there and still didn’t get to see Jimmy Charles.
That’s Flarked Up.
HOWEVER now for the cons. All 3 times we have went the service has been horrible. We sat in the dining room twice, the most recent time we sat at a table in the bar area to maybe have a different experience. All 3 times it took at least 20 mins to even be greeted or given a menu. The most recent visit seemed to only be staffed with 1 girl for all the tables. It was only my husband and I and everything took forever. I love the food here but I probably won’t return because the service is just horrible. Atmosphere is nothing fancy. They turned the lights way down mid meal (it was like 6pm-ish). Tables were sticky. They did have a good band that night.
We expressed our dissatisfaction and insisted that the steak be removed from the bill. Although it was eventually taken off, the manager’s indignant remark as we left—“I thought the 50% was sufficient”—was unprofessional and left a bitter taste in our mouths. The situation could have been handled with more tact and understanding, but unfortunately, it ruined the experience for us.
While we did enjoy the pork nachos and crab lobster ravioli, the poor handling of our concerns overshadowed the rest of the evening.
They have happy hour every day 3-6PM for food and drinks, except Saturdays when they have only buck a shuck oysters on happy hour.
I highly recommend you to try char grilled oysters and scallops wrapped in bacon, they are amazing! Their stakes are delicious and I love seafood pasta! And don’t miss the lava cake with ice cream or homemade Key Lime Pie!
They have a lot of mixed drinks, crushes and signature drinks. My favourites are mudslide, banana daiquiri and happy hour crushes.
They have live music EVERY DAY! Every sunday there is fireworks in the park at 9PM so it’s a great place for a romantic dinner or just to enjoying dinner with your family and friends.
Don’t miss this place if you are in Ocean city!
From the minute you walk into the very large , clean , rustic and warm building , to the time you’re done with their Happy Hours, Large deck , and big bar with many TV’s , and non stop entertainment the experience is amazing !! Lisa and Barbara greet you at the door and seat you with smiles and friendliness that separates them from from any other Ocean City restaurant.
Joey and Jordan and the rest of the staff are fabulous as waiters and bartenders and bring your appetizers and home cooked food out with top notch service.
The variety of music is great and never too loud that you can’t talk.
The restaurant is behind the Holiday Inn Express hotel so book a long weekend or week when you’re in town and you’ll fall in love with an establishment beyond belief in the finest vacation spot on the East Coast !!
