This was my third time to Akarui, and it continues to impress every time.
We ordered the Peking duck today, which was a highlight. It was flavorful and perfectly prepared. When we asked about the duck, the owner, Hector shared that they prepare it in-house with a 3-day process. He even showed me a duck in its second-day preparation stage, and I’ve included the photo here.
The ambiance is inviting and has great vibe. It’s not easy to find places in Colorado Springs that prepare Peking duck. Definitely a great find and will be back again!

Everything from the atmosphere, the service, to the food itself, was absolutely incredible. The orange chicken was so crispy and perfectly cooked, the fish in the sushi tasted incredible, and the soup dumplings were the best I’ve had in the Springs. The cheesecake is a necessary addition if you manage to leave room at the end of your meal!

First time in the springs and had to try one of their top rated sushi spots & this one is rightfully so. Every dish was different & tasted great. Next time, I will be exploring even more dishes. Also our server, Hector, was super sweet and came around often.

Super nice little place. Really loved the decor! The music was a whole vibe. No wait, plenty of tables. Excellent service. Our server and the chef (?) Who brought our food were both so nice. We ordered 4 different rolls and 3 types of dumplings and loved all of them!! Will definitely be going back!

Had to change my review after returning here a second time. My salmon roll barely had any avocado. The bit of avocado it did contain was BROWN. Completely unacceptable
The spicy duck noodle soup tasted very good, but it was extremely difficult to eat. I was constantly picking tiny bones out of my mouth. I would come back here, but I would not order this dish again.

Overall, it was a great place for lunch. My wife and I shared two appetizers and two rolls and had more than enough food for us. The service was a bit slow for only having a few other customers in the restaurant, but the server was great, and the food was all fresh and great tasting. Highly recommended going here.

We have always had the sushi delivered but it was my daughter’s birthday (28) and she wanted to go to this place. Their food is ALWAYS delicious and last night was no different. Beautiful ambiance in this restaurant with all of the gorgeous lanterns and lighting. The owner (I assume) was so funny, attentive, and kind to all of us. She even sang Happy Birthday to my daughter (best part of the entire meal.. cha cha cha ). We will always go back!

The food was fresh, and the sushi options we tried were different than what we typically get, some combinations seeming to work better than others. We loved the Onion Soup Dumplings, but the Colorado Sunrise Roll is not one I’d likely order again. The Creme Brule Cheesecake was a nice ending to the meal without being overly sweet. The food was a bit pricier than what we would have had to pay out of state, but I’m not sure how it compares to other local sushi places.

Ordered delivery for 2. We started off with the Vegetable Spring Rolls and some Blue Crab Soup Dumplings. For our entrees, we ordered from the Wok – Orange Style w/ Chicken & Fried Rice and Broccoli Style w/ Beef & Mixed Veggies.
Unfortunately, I didn’t take any pics as I normally do. However, everything we ate was amazing and I highly recommend Amauri Sushi & Wok.

The food was absolutely beautiful. We ordered a variety of the menu and spent more than we normally would per person because it was the first time going. The plating was wonderful and a beautiful work of art. The food was really tasty and interesting. Sushi was extremely fresh and awesome. Can’t wait to try more of the menu. The lunch specials look super promising. The Creme Brule cheesecake was also very tasty. Everyone should try this place. It’s head over heels better than the last place that was in this spot.
