This was our second trip to sparrow and this time it was a late lunch with the kids. For parents, yes they have a kids menu and crayons! That is always a plus. We had a brussel sprout app that was disappointing, they had little flavor outside of char and relied on the sauce and pickled onions for a decent bite. The kids pizza was great, you can add toppings too, and my daughter enjoyed her bacon pizza. My son got a cheeseburger and it was excellent. Cooked well, seasoned, and a good size for him. I got the mayor, a pizza with pepperoni, jalapeno and vodka sauce. It had a nice amount of heat with plenty of flavor, would definitely recommend. My wife got the truffle shuffle and added bacon, the bacon was not the right choice for this one, it didn’t pair well with all the mushrooms. I think ordering it as is or adding a different topping would make this a good pizza. Sparrow turned out to be a good choice for the kids and also works for a night out, would suggest it to anyone.

Good vegetarian food options and they have accommodations for allergies gluten . The staff was very helpful. The thin crust pizza was almost like a tortilla base with cheese crisped to perfection.

Visited this place with my colleagues and it was a great experience. Food, service, and ambiance were all top notch. Brussels sprouts are a must try! They also have the best thin crust pizzas. We tried Margarita and Colony pizzas and they were both good. The garlic and Parmesan wings were nice and saucy – I had never had wings like that before. Also got some mocktails – ‘Butterflies Scare Me’ was refreshing but ‘The Abey Baby’ was a bit too lemony for my taste, so wouldn’t try that one again.

Food was great! Service was even better! It was our first time going for dinner and the manager Aaron came over with a fried risotto dish so we could try it! Our server was also so kind and helped us with our decision on what pizza to get. Had a great experience and will deff be going back!!

Absolutely love this place!! The drinks, the food, the vibe were all on point! My husband and I got the espresso martini and the passion of spice drinks along with the truffle fries to start with. I loved their version of the classic espresso martini. The parm fries with the truffle dip was so delicious. We got the elote pizza and the ruby pizza with the hot chili oil. I highly recommend this combo! Really enjoyed the thin crispy pizza with the spicy kick of the chili oil! Highly recommend Sparrow for a nice date night and great food!

It’s safe to say Sparrow is — and will be — a staple in the West Hartford area. The food is absolutely delicious. The pizzas are personal-sized, which makes it easy to order a few and share, and the salads are a standout with fresh ingredients and generous portions. Service was very fast, we were greeted immediately. The manager, Olivia, is so friendly. She stopped by my table to make sure everything was perfect.
Highly recommend checking this place out — I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

Went here to celebrate my adult daughter’s birthday. While she has been several times, it was or first time. There were eight of us total. Had a reservation on a Friday night and we were seating immediately on arrival. We order 5 different appetizers, with the truffle fries coming out as the clear favorite. The other apps were good also. There was one burger, a salad and five pies ordered. Everyone enjoyed their meals. A mixture of drinks were ordered and met everyone’s satisfaction. The meals and all the pies were made perfectly and had very distinct flavors. The food was served as it was prepared, so some items came out before others. This did allow the hot apps to come out right away and not sit and cool down. The pizzas are very thin crust, bar pies. They are about 10-12 inches in size. But they were plenty for one person ( even some to share if you are a light eater). The servers were extremely pleasant and prompt.
Now let me say I was a little hesitant to go here because of some of the negative reviews I read. I’m glad I didn’t listen.
The complaints of the pizzas being small and thin. Well that’s what they make. The complaints that the food didn’t taste good, we found no merit in those statements (all our food tasted good or delicious and you could tell the ingredients are fresh). Regarding some complaints about noise/ loudness. Yes it is a little loud. However after a few minutes you kind of just adjust and it’s not a huge issue. Besides, if it’s louder, that means there are a lot of customers. And I have found, lots of customers usually means the place is good. The prices are a little high, but in that section of town, all restaurants prices are higher than your local rural joint will be. The only real complaint I had with our whole experience was when the member of our party asked for some bread to go with her meatball appetizer. She was told that there would be a charge for the bread (ended up being $3 for two prices of bread). Not a huge deal. Maybe something for management to consider including a piece or two of bread with that app. But in closing I will say, they brought out a delicious dessert for the birthday girl, on the house at the end of our meal!
We will be back to give some different item a try!

During our 2nd visit tonight we had the garlic Parmesan wings and ordered two personal pizzas. There was a minor mistake in our order and the manager went above and beyond to make things right. We will definitely be coming back sooner rather than later. Definitely recommend going!!! And please don’t pass out on the garlic Parmesan wings!!! They also offer gluten free options!!!

After work my colleagues and I went to Sparrow. It has an intimate feel inside while still being a casual spot. There is artwork on the walls, TVs with sports on them surrounding the bar. I ordered the Elote pizza, the Shrimp n Ritz pizza, and a soda. The Elote pizza was easily the highlight of the night. It was light and flavorful. The shrimp n Ritz was much more dense.
