Where do I begin? I’m in town for a cruise and decided to come a little early to experience what Fort Lauderdale had to offer. This restaurant was suggested by a local and they couldn’t say enough good things about it.
Upon, entering the restaurant we were welcomed immediately and told to sit where we’d like. We decided to sit at the bar. The chef didn’t look particularly happy about us sitting there when the server came from the back he said the chairs were not stable and asked us to sit at another table. We said okay, happy they were thinking ahead to prevent one of us getting hurt. Once we sat down the server asked us what we wanted to drink, I asked for an ice tea, the server said “we don’t have that” very pointedly and was giving off an attitude that we were being an inconvenience to him. My friend and I agreed on just water. Looking at the menu there were other tea options and that wasn’t offered.
The food came out relatively fast, I ordered the Tuna California Roll and the Spicy Tuna Roll. The presentation was nice but the flavor was lacking and the sushi roll fell apart when trying to pick it up to eat.
The Tuna California Roll was okay, nothing over the top or bad, typical.
The Spicy Tuna Roll was not good. It was if the spicy sauce was not made for flavor. It was over powering with the spicy that it made the whole role taste of the roll, I didn’t event finish the roll.
To top it off the server’s attitude grew with every interaction we had with him (which was few) when we were paying the check he snapped at my friend and then even closed his eyes and took a deep breath then apologized.
Overall, this was not a pleasant experience, the food didn’t meet our expectations and the servers attitude didn’t create a welcoming atmosphere (I didn’t even feel comfortable asking for a straw for my water).
There’s potential here but these allot of improvement needed. I look forward to giving this place another chance in the future and hope it’s a better experience.

I ordered a spicy tuna roll and a salmon avocado roll. Both were ok, nothing special. Spicy tuna wasn’t spicy and different than what I’m used to. I did get my food quickly so that earned them an extra star.

Decent tasting food, not my first choice in all of the sushi song locations but it does the job. Service can be better but it is what it is. Ambiance or lack there of…..

5-Star Review for Sushi Song:
Absolutely phenomenal experience at Sushi Song! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was intimate, cool, and inviting—perfect for date night or a late-night sushi craving. The fish is incredibly fresh, the rolls are creative yet balanced, and the presentation is top-tier without feeling pretentious.
We tried a variety of rolls, and every single one was a hit. The Sexy Lady and Ocean Drive rolls were standout favorites—bursting with flavor and beautifully plated. The sashimi literally melts in your mouth. You can tell the chefs here care about quality and precision.
Service was attentive but relaxed, and the ambiance is exactly what you want from a modern sushi lounge: moody lighting, chill music, and an upscale but unpretentious atmosphere.
Sushi Song has easily become one of our go-to sushi spots in South Florida. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top-quality sushi without the over-the-top price tag. A true hidden gem!

I came to eat late at night, around 2:40 am, and the person preparing the food was incredibly rude to me. I didn’t come to eat a small meal… but what a disappointment to go into a restaurant with an “open” sign and be told it’s already closed. Not only that, but being subjected to the bad temper of someone who wants to leave because of their schedule is awful. I was mistreated by that person MeeI feel humiliated and disrespected as a customer. I didn’t come to spend $40; I came to order more, as is customary. The owners of this restaurant need to be careful who they hire because remember, the one who loses isn’t the one who harms the customer, it’s the one who harms the restaurant… I was mistreated by Mr. Mee and the waitress trying to resolve the situation. It’s a shame for me to make this comment, but I know it will be a lesson for the owners to be more discerning about who they hire, because when the owner is alone, the staff is different than when they are absent. I asked the workers for his name, and they seemed afraid to say it. I felt sorry for MEE’s coworkers… he’s a kitchen worker who fired me at the end, even though I’d never been fired from a restaurant I was a regular at before.

Great food, service was alright their not necessarily attentive, they are nice though. Place is a bit small and not sure I would hangout with too many friends or on my laptop there.

I’ve been several times and always enjoy the food and the sushi chefs, those guys are great. The location is easy to get to, a cozy size with a few bar stools and tasteful decoration. The specials are always special and worth checking out. Shrimp shumai is incredible as is the chicken gyoza, lots of flavor with a spicy dipping sauce. Poke bowl special looked and tasted great with some spice built in. Ask the chefs to surprise you with sushi choices, you won’t be disappointed. The miso salmon was my absolute favorite.

Hello… I’ve been a loyal customer for years and I go there every night. I even work across the street actually. Love the staff; EVERYONE is amazing. The food is unbelievably good . In response to the previous review before mine (Anthony Almeida), when I arrived at Sushi Song to pick up my order, per usual Mr. Anthony Almeida was highly intoxicated and being loud and obnoxious, being the reason he’s kicked out of majority of places in Wilton Manors, was being very hostile and aggressive towards one of the waitresses by the name of Hahnah. She had tears in her eyes and I asked if she wanted me to call the police. She insisted that I not call them. She said she’d be fine but I was worried for her safety had I left the restaurant, the way Mr. Anthony Almeida was talking to her and threatening to have her fired. Not only that but he made the nastiest comments about Hahnah’s child. He was so aggressive that at one point I had to stand in his way to block her view… He got out of there the moment that I called the police because he felt guilty and knew that something was going to happen… Im very disappointed to see that he is pushing the envelope even further to try to get this young lady into trouble to just satisfy his own ego Hahnah is a really beautiful soul and a JOY to have at ANY business. She is the reason I eat sushi. I didn’t know about sushi before and after trying it one time there, she is the one that has me eating literally everything on the menu now… Shame on you Mr. Anthony Almeida…

Great flavors and more than any other sushi place in the Village of Wilton Manors. Good prices and the place is not the best for a date because it’s small and tables are close to each other but still a great place to eat good food if that’s what matters
