Checked this place out over the weekend, and I cannot express how beautiful and cozy this restaurant is! And even though it was crowded, it wasn’t too loud. It’s easy to see why it’s such a popular place, and the service is lovely. The bartender and the owner were chatting with us and really personable, and the drink menu is wonderful (especially the whiskey flight!). But I order the bistro pasta with shrimp, and unfortunately it just wasn’t good. The sauce was more like a broth, and the pasta was thick and starchy, and still had starchy water inside the culrs of the pasta that was making the pasta kind of… gel. But my partner good the steak tips and they were awesome, cooked perfectly, she said they were scrumptious. I think this is a great place to go to, especially for drinks, but if you’re getting dinner just avoid the pasta dishes.

Probably our favorite restaurant in town. Staff is so friendly, accommodating and nice. Drinks are made the way they should be and the ahi tuna is top tier. Love this place, 5 stars all day!

My husband and I came here wanting good food, good vibes, and good conversation – we got it all. Even though this place has a bar, the music was at such a perfect level that we could enjoy it (yes, 90’s pop!) while still able to comfortably have a conversation without competing with the volume. The food was excellent – hubby had the salmon and I had the season special, butternut squash ravioli. YUM. We also had a Caesar salad and the Caprese. Very generous portions, quality ingredients, and a moody atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back!

The food and the service here were excellent! The Tuna was probably one of the best I’ve had in the area! Everything came out pretty quickly but we didn’t feel rushed given the time restrictions applied in most restaurants at the moment. The Drink I got was called ‘Coconut Dream’ I believe and was exactly that! The dessert however, was pretty bland. It was more fitting for kids, something you’d serve at a bday party. But that came from an outside baker so that’s a different story. Definitely somewhere I’ll come back to if I’m in the area again.

At Essex Street Grill you are greeted with homemade bean dip as soon as you are seated, a local favorite! The service is quick and attentive with family members working the floor. The Crab Rangoon is mediocre but that is something we decided to take a chance on and this could have been a hit or miss night but lots of cream cheese and that’s understandable since it’s lobster. The special was seafood pie covered in lobster sauce. Excellent. The bar also had 5 unique beers on tap. Every thing was delicious

Went for dinner with friends. I had the Mediterranean haddock, and it was excellent! My friends were very satisfied with their meals as well. Good waitress and service. A great value for the food. We will be back.

We ordered trays of food for Christmas to make the holiday a little less hectic, and it was the best decision we could have made! We chose the Pork Bellagio and Chicken Marsala, and both dishes were absolutely amazing. Often, food prepared ahead of time can be dry or lose its quality when reheated, but not here. The chicken was incredibly moist and tender, practically falling apart with every bite.
I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant, but their catering service truly went above and beyond. It was a perfect addition to our holiday celebration. Highly recommend!

We usually have a good experience but the last two times we have been there the food has not been good. We visited 3 nights ago I had a burger and fries. The burger was supposed to be cooked medium but it came out rare and the fries were cold, soggy and barely cooked. My spouse had the scallops broccoli and risotto. His meal was cold and under cooked as well. It was somewhat busy but not packed at all. $130 for cold under cooked food. At least the eggplant rollitini was cooked and decent.
