This was a very favorite spot of ours. Sadly, they are no longer in business at this location. We miss them and wish them well and hope to see Armando and his lovely family back in a restaurant soon.

Came here because I wanted some Asian food from the place next door. Then I changed my mind. LoL
This place has fun and festive decor. The service was great the whole time. It wasn’t terribly busy either though.
I got a large margarita which was good tasting, not too much sour.
I ordered a combo plate with carnita, chili relleno, and beef enchilada. I asked for medium on the temp.
What I got was not stellar.
The enchilada had a half melted slice of cheese instead of shredded, with a spoon of what looked like salsa on it.
The relleno looked like almost burnt thing.
Steak looked like it was rare from the get go with multiple temp check cuts in it.
The relleno was actually decent. The steak, bloody and very rare, but good spice and flavor, just undercooked for my liking.
Probably good on not coming back.

Everything is clean and orderly. Prices are great and the choices available are numerous. Everything was awesome that we ordered. Margaritas are amazing! I recommend this establishment to everyone who wants an out of this world Mexican meal stop in and say ole!

An often overlooked gem! Everything I’ve ordered here has been good, if not great. The guac is always super fresh, beer is cold, and the margaritas are generous. Dining area always looks fresh and clean, and the staff is very attentive. The gentleman running the place is playfully sassy and likes to engage.

This is the 2nd time we have ordered from this location for delivery. We VERY clearly note gluten and dairy allergies. Ask for no cheese, no rice. The order arrives AGAIN with cheese in the tacos and on the beans. AND with rice. “Corn tortillas. There is a gluten and dairt allergy No cheese or sour cream. No cheese on beans, dairy allergy.” No Rice please give beans without cheese instead. Thank you If you aren’t going to follow special requests Do Not allow them!!!

Pepe’s in Yorkville is fantastic!! Papi and his family treat my family like we’re…well, family! The food is great, of course, and they pass out tequila while the food gets prepared. Had a fantastic time and I’m still full even an hour afterwards. Can’t wait to go back!
