When we couldn’t find food options, we went to the left to speak with a concierge, who seemed to be caught off-guard by the question.
She said she didn’t know of many food options (oddly enough), but there was a restaurant behind the booth called Atlantic.
Unknowingly, we ventured over to Atlantic- which was a pretty attractive and massive building.
We didn’t know what to expect as we approached the main entrance.
It was a very glamorous oceanesque type of establishment, pretty gorgeous. It was during the day time, so the light was coming in the large windows as I’m sure that the night brings with it a very special vibe to the decor and provides a difference ambience. But, the day time was still beautiful.
The food was amazing, as I got the burger. The trick with this burger was the roll it was on and the way the grilled it gave it a backyard barbeque feel (which is a GREAT thing!).
We split the dynamite/spicy shrimp appetizer, which was killer.
And the salmon seemed, quote unquote- “out of this world”.
We happened to get the full authority on the Epic Universe park and all extreme rides as our server. His name was “Fish” and was a delite, end-to-end. He paid prompt attention to us, offered great recommendations and did not rush us. When we asked about suggestions about the park, this is where he glowed. He went into complete details about each of his favorite attractions, the reasons and the order they should be gone to. Fish shared the whole portal concept to us, so we can be as efficient as possible.
Atlantic was a pure delight, but one thing…
We had a beautiful little girl celebrating her birthday in the park, sitting next to us. We then learned that Atlantic does not do anything special for a birthday kid choosing to celebrate their special day in their park/restaurant. It seems like a HUGE opportunity for Atlantic/Epic. Just my 2 cents.
The menu is fun and creative, the flavors in each dish we tried were abstract and complex yet they all flowed together seamlessly, the plating was STUNNING… It was one of the best meals we had EVER eaten and this place deserves more than a Michelin star!
Shoutout to our server Chelsea for guiding us through the menu and for being just a genuinely kind and wonderful human who is attentive and amazing at her job!
Thank you guys for everything! We will 110% be back!
We really enjoyed our server, Ariel. She was friendly, helpful, and made excellent recommendations. Some of the menu items suggest specific drink pairings, and I followed her recommendation of a Chardonnay with my scallops. Both were absolutely delicious and paired perfectly. My husband’s cocktail and meal were also superb, and even our children enjoyed their meals, which says a lot.
The food overall was full of flavor, well-prepared, and high quality. Importantly, the quality of the food does match the pricing here, which I really appreciated. While the portions were small, the presentation and taste more than made up for it.
Another aspect I really enjoyed was how the staff regularly come around to clear plates and trash. They do it in such a smooth, unobtrusive way that it never felt bothersome — almost like they weren’t even there — so our table never felt crowded or cluttered. It was a small touch, but it made the dining experience feel very comfortable.
The only reason I’m taking off one star is the host stand experience. We had a reservation and arrived about 10 minutes early. When we checked in, we were told to have a seat and wait for a text letting us know when our table was ready — only to receive that text immediately after sitting down. It felt unnecessary and a bit awkward, especially since it was clear a table was already available. The hostess also never smiled, which didn’t give the best first impression.
Overall, Atlantic offers great food, excellent service once seated, and a stunning atmosphere. With a smoother front-of-house experience and slightly larger portions, this could easily be a 5-star restaurant.
Appetizers
– Shrimp cocktail comes w 6. Standard
– *Crabcakes full of crab meat and flavor
Entrees
– Salmon was good. Crispy skin, meat very very slightly overcooked for my liking.
– ***Scallops small in quantity but the best thing here. Perfectly cooked, very slightly over-seasoned
-*Sea Bass was flaky and juicy inside.
Service: The wait was longer than expected for our table but the food was still very good.
Atmosphere: So cool. Fountain view, high ceilings and floating glass fish, thick airport style glass walls
As far as the food goes. It’s probably the best I’ve had at any theme park. That includes dinner at Disneyland’s Club 33. We had the sweet and spicy shrimp to start. It was really good, just wish there was more of it. It’s not very much to share. The sweet corn chowder soup was also very good. But the star of the show was the bucatini with shrimp. The bucatini was perfectly cooked, and it had so much flavor. The salmon was also great. Perfectly cooked and flavorful as well. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. I’m looking forward to going back next time we visit the park.
The staff is very friendly and attentive. Food here is alright, most dishes are way better than one would expect from an amusement park restaurant.
I tried some shrimp engree which was great, the ceasar salad which was also good and the burger au poivre which was not that great but also nothing to complain about.
I’d recommend for a proper meal or for drinks if you’re visiting Epic Universe and are willing to sear down.
