The first time here, the picnic tables were clean, and there was easy parking, too. Their banana split was huge. They do 3 6 or 9 scoopsscoops, and we got the 3 scoops, and its more than enough for 2 people. The pics don’t do it justice to the size in hand. It will shock you.

Good ice-cream, service was friendly but a bit slow. They are handling online orders as well as people who arrive, and there were a lot.
All sorts of sizes for ice-cream.
I had a rum raisin, my son a chocolate ice-cream and my friend, she had a raspberry sundae. Remember to ask for napkins.
Plenty of parking ️. Facemasks required. Picnic tables available. I was able to use Planet Fitness’ Wifi.
Went back again. Ordered online. It took a serious attempt to order online, but, my friend and I were successful. I ordered a mint chip. Tasted good . Sugar cones are 10¢ extra.

Great flavor selection and the sprinkle coverage is amazing! The sizes are huge. The one scoop is really three but no complaints here. Highly recommend!

Hodgies Too of Newburyport is an absolute celestial gem, a veritable shrine to frozen decadence that has ensnared my heart and palate! Since its inception, this iconic creamery has woven itself into the fabric of Newburyport’s soul, and my recent indulgence in their chocolate chip and vanilla ice creams was nothing short of a euphoric odyssey! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐The chocolate chip, studded with decadent morsels, dances on the tongue like a symphony of sweetness, while the vanilla—oh, the vanilla!—is a creamy, velvety dream, pure and ethereal, cradled in a flawless cone crowned with a jubilant cascade of jimmies. This divine pairing is, without question, the zenith of ice cream artistry, a masterpiece that elevates the soul to rapturous heights!

Crafted with an almost reverent devotion, Hodgies Too sources only the finest ingredients, conjuring flavors that are both opulent and transcendent. ✨ Their scoops are prodigiously generous, each bite a love letter to indulgence, and the shop’s vibrant, immaculate ambiance—complete with welcoming seating and a family-friendly charm—feels like a warm embrace. ❤️ Vegan and gluten-free offerings, prepared with meticulous care, ensure every connoisseur is included in this rapturous experience.

Hodgies Too isn’t just an ice cream parlor; it’s a hallowed sanctuary of joy, a beacon of community spirit that shines brighter than a summer sun. ☀️ To bypass this haven, especially without savoring the unparalleled chocolate chip and vanilla with jimmies, is to miss a five-star, life-altering pilgrimage that will leave you starry-eyed and craving more! #HodgiesToo #IceCreamHeaven

Hodgies Too of Newburyport, located at 251 Low Street, Newburyport, MA, opened in 2017 as a seasonal, family-owned ice cream stand. This location replicates the menu and homemade ice cream tradition of its sister stand, Hodgies Too in Salisbury, which began in 1992.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Newburyport shop, under the ownership of Derek and Kristen Dore since 2014, continues the legacy of the Hodge family, who started the original Hodgies in Amesbury in 1984.

We ordered the 1/4 kiddie and 1 kiddie cone. That’s enough to feed 4 people! I had coffee Heath and peanut butter and chocolate chip. Huge chips.

HODGIES TOO gets 5 stars for consistency, service, cleanliness, variety of flavors, super creamy ice cream, and fair prices. Quality and quantity And the staff is always very accommodating, patient, and friendly. Just an overall awesome ice cream spot. Hot fudge sundae with grapenut ice cream, whipped cream, nuts, and cherry on top. Makes my heart smile.

The ice cream is unbelievable and the staff friendly. You might have to wait a bit if you’re ordering there but that’s only because so many other folks have discovered this GEM.

The sizes are incredibly generous (we frequently get the Hodgies cup and that’s PLENTY.) don’t be fooled by the name, the Kiddie could feed a small family. My favorite thing is that if you order sprinkles, they don’t just put it on top. They also put it at the bottom of the cup so when you start getting to the bottom, you get a happy little surprise.

Pro Tip: you can order ahead online! They’ll keep it in the freezer until you arrive so you don’t have to worry about it melting on you.

What a waste of money. It took about 15 minutes to get 4 ice creams- and there was no line. My ice cream was supposed to be coffee with cookie pieces. It was just a ball of cold sugar. And it somehow tasted like mint. Sub par at best. No flavor profile to be found. My boyfriend ordered the peanut butter cup. Not a single peanut butter cup was found. It was chocolate ice cream with a peanut butter swirl- and by swirl I mean there was one giant chunk of peanut butter in the center of his ice cream that took up probably at least half of the volume of the ice cream. He ate the ice cream around it and then threw away the ball of peanut butter. I will not be returning.
