I came in to this place with high expectations after hearing about them and seeing some of the specials they had posted. I am delighted to say that they even exceeded my expectations! So incredible. Probably one of my new favorite places around. Lots of great comfort items, many with a new twist. You can tell that pretty much all items are made in house. Server was very friendly also.

Stephanie was our waitress and she did an amazing job. The atmosphere was clean, quiet, and enjoyable. The food was out of this world. Definitely will be going back. Highly recommend the beef stew btw!

Mama’s is a hidden gem just off the I-94 and Clear Lake Rd exit. The brunch menu was great and the rest of the menu looks incredible! They locally source too. We can’t wait to come back and try other dishes.

The restaurant is clean and has a welcoming atmosphere. The fireplace and hearth add a nice, warm touch. The fresh flowers and bouquets everywhere added that final “home” feeling. Everyone was extremely friendly..

UPDATE: Came for dinner. We both had the specials. Cajun Tilapia sandwich and a Caprese Chicken sandwich. Everything was delicious. Friendly services. They even convinced us to have dessert.

I was craving a salad on Sunday night and my options were slim. I was very grateful that Mama’s was still open and had a salad that sounded delicious so I ordered online for pickup. The place was super cute and the staff were friendly even if my encounter was very brief during pickup.

I was warned that Mama’s was overpriced but I didn’t have many other options so I dealt with that possibility. After lifting my salad to-go box I instantly knew that my friends were right. Even for a salad it was so light…the box weighed more than the salad. I opened it to make sure the order was accurate and was instantly disappointed with the size of a $17 salad.

The salad was yummy…I would never take away from that. But for a salad with no major protein (besides a small amount of bacon) it was WAY overpriced. Maybe you get a better portion when you are sitting down at the restaurant but the to-go version was sad. At the very least they should’ve had a ton more lettuce to make it look bigger. All the ingredients were fresh but the portions were paltry. I could barely taste any bacon because there wasn’t much of it. The candied pecans were the only exception…I had plenty of those.

This satisfied my craving for a salad so I am once again grateful for that…but what I received was a $12 salad at best. Next time I will go to the grocery store and make my own. Not worth the price.

My fiance and I were on a roadtrip to Kalamazoo and decided to stop for lunch. We happened to see Mama’s nearby and gave it a shot. We were so happy we did! The menu was fun, the service was great and they had vegan options for me!! I had the brothy beans and bread which was great. My fiance had the peachy keen burger (not vegan) and he loved it.

Such a fun surprise. We will definitely go again next time we’re passing through!

Oh my goodness! God bless this place and the owner’s family! I was around the area this past weekend and say this place on google maps and I had to go with my family. We had a cinnamon roll skillet SO GOOD that I wanted to cry hahaha. Seriously, delicious!

I ordered a sourdough lemon waffle with blueberry jam and WOW. Took some home and it was still delicious reheated… and the bacon… another WOW. So so perfect!

My husband shared with my oldest daughter a pizza that was to die for.

We live an hour away from the place and I already told my family we NEED to go back again. I want to try everything from the menu.

Oh and I don’t want to forget service. It was great, the sweetest young girl was our server with the biggest smile. The owner checked on us a few time and it just felt like we went to our neighbors house for lunch.

We seriously loved it!

My wife and I came through on our way to go camping. This place is (to us) in the middle of nowhere and was a nice surprise.

My wife got the margherita pizza and I got the Detroit style 313.

My first pizza didn’t come with any sauce and was obviously dry as a result. They remade it with no issue.

The taste of both pizzas was really good and it’s clear they have quality ingredients, my biggest complaint is one of density and by extension, wetness of both pizzas.

The marg really needed to be crispier but was slightly soggy off the rip, due in part by the globs of mozz being more located towards the center, the thinnest part of the pie. My deep dish suffered from a similar problem, the pepperoni were largely centered towards the middle of the pizza and the cheese was thickest in the center by a large degree. That in conjunction with far too much ricotta and the center felt like I was eating lasagna, too messy for hands.

Overall it is the construction that lets down these pies, and on a different day I could see these being incredible.

We’re glad we stopped by and would try it again on a different day. I’d recommend you come check it out too.

Excellent food, excellent service, beautiful patio. We ordered an appetizer, a charcuterie board, and 2 salads. Everything was super fresh. It’s clear they make a lot of stuff in house, including the fresh ricotta cheese and the homemade pickles. Stephanie was great about explaining the menu, and always there when we needed something. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.

I eat here about once a month. it’s a treat for me. I love that it’s a small locally woman owned business. I love the mismatched dishes and cutlery. I love that they source most of the food from local farms and vendors. It’s always busy, but never too busy, if you know what I mean. I have never felt rushed to leave, and the staff is unfailingly friendly and helpful. their coffee is delicious and plentiful. 5/5 stars.

First time here. My friend and I wanted to try out a new place. I’ll start with the food. I ordered a ‘fried pickle Burger’ which was special for the day. I ordered it medium well. The burger appearance looked great. However my burger was under cooked. And I mean really undercooked. My friend also ordered a burger and he asked for well done and his burger was even more raw than mine was ! The waitress asked us how our food was and when we brought it to her attention she did apologize but didn’t offer any way to comp our meal or to make it right with us. We ended up having to pay full price for two undercooked burgers. I don’t believe that is a way to conduct business. A discount, a coupon or even a free dessert. But to make us pay full price just didn’t sit well with me. I don’t believe I will be returning. They have a huge menu. The atmosphere is clean but eclectic. Service was decent , there was only one waitress so I believe she was spread thin and very busy.
