I went to Mai’s for Pho on a rainy day. It was very warm and comforting, flavors were great and size was generous. The meat wasn’t my favorite, I wish I got chicken. Atmosphere is very casual. The kpop demon hunters music played 5 times in a row before they finally changed it. Loved the food, good spot in a strange neighborhood.

Special thanks to William and Karen. They were very welcoming and their customer service was above and beyond. I used to come here as a kid since I lived down the street. It’s super clean, and has a nice updated look to the restaurant. It’s located next to a market so you can eat before or after you get your groceries.
The food was very delicious, fresh, tasty and presentation was niiiiiiiccce! I’ll
Be back and update more food pictures as I try new items.

If you have “ebt” they will also take that form of pay, this is a very nice of them to offer fresh cooked meals with people with food stamps. This Family owned business is a perfect representation of community! Mai’s Cafe, you have my support for any future community events you may want to be part of ✊ .

Went here for lunch and was very pleased with the food. We tried a bunch of their items: spring rolls, pork meat loaf (special, not on the official menu), banh xeo / crepe, pho, mochi chicken, and a special plate with beef, sausage, and pork meat loaf. Everything was delicious. We went on the hottest day of the year, but they have AC, and it was cold enough inside that we decided to also get pho. The mochi chicken was good! But I have to say my absolute favorite was the banh xeo / Vietnamese crepe with shrimp and pork – it was perfectly crispy. We also ordered some Thai teas and lemonade, which was refreshing. They also have boba drinks here that I’d recommend too. 🙂 Great place to eat in Ventura, CA!

Quite typical Vietnamese restaurant — very chill atmosphere with nice people. We felt welcomed. To my surprise they served alcohol beverages— did not know they have a bar. I was craving for pho soup and oh yeah, they did delivered.

Quick, easy and tasty. Fast and kind service. I ordered the Beef Bun and my husband ordered the Katsu Chicken and the Beef Curry . The chicken Katsu was the BEST! We were driving through and was hungry so this place fit our cravings.

First of all, I must say this is the best Pho and phenomenal Banh Xeo aka Vietnamese crepe in Ventura!

I have been craving some pho since the weather these days have been a bit chilly and I just recently moved to Ventura. My friends and I decided to check this place out since it is newly renovated.

We came and it’s a medium sized place restaurant that feels cozy inside and the place is clean and new

Worker greets you and seats you down and gives you the menu and take your drink.

I was looking at the menu and Banh Xeo stood out from the menu… I was so tempted and since it’s a new place I decided to try it. I ordered the crepe that came with shrimp, meat, bean sprouts and house special sauce. The combination crispy crepe, turmeric and of fresh ingridients with the fish sauce was amazing that really warmed my heart and soul. I also got one of their milk tea drink which was sweet and tasty and even better than any boba houses out there

My friend ordered the special beef pho and it was amazing as one of the best Pho she has ever tried. Good amount of meat and flavorful soup combined with noodle and bean sprouts really hit the spot.

Definitely we will be back more to try out other dishes. I would give it a 6 stars review if I could

Ate lunch outside, the half sandwich (bon me style) and pho is a great deal in particular. Everyone enjoyed their meal. 8 thumbs up!

I wanted to like this place but not serving the traditional broken rice at a Vietnamese restaurant is like not serving pasta at a Italian restaurant. I’ve never ever ordered a rice plate at a Vietnamese restaurant that didn’t have broken rice (mine was served with regular steamed jasmine rice) . And even though my plate looked cute and fancy- there was an unneeded raw lettuce mixture underneath my small amount of pork . The flavor was good but I wasn’t impressed enough to want to come back. Plus it took awhile for the food to come out and we were the only ones there. Sorry.

Love this place. Used to go to Love Pho n More in Oxnard & Camarillo but will be coming here from now. The samba shrimp was delicious and the pho broth was so fresh and noodles perfectly cooked (not too soft or hard). Very clean and nice ambience! They have boba but it’s not on the menu.

We walked in and noticed 3-4 tables waiting to get cleaned so the server sat us on one side of the room with a large party. Anyway, it just made for uncomfortable and crowded side of the room where everyone was trying to talk over everyone. The server took our order of 2 entrees and 2 appetizers. When our appetizer came she placed them on our table without saying a word and walked away. She didn’t bother asking if we wanted plates but she did ask the table next to us. And when my wife asked for plates, the server just brought 1. I guess I’ll use my napkin as a plate. That’s the photo you see here. Appetizers were obviously premade and entress were as bad, I would rate it at the bottom of list. It was so bad I forgot what I ordered. Never again will I eat here.
