This is such an original, authentic, unique and coolest atmospheres. One of the best places I have been to in a very long time. The food was absolutely outstanding. Our waitress, Tasha, was the kindest, knowledgeable and very informative. Made great recommendations that exceeded our expectations. If you happen to be within traveling distance or just visiting the area, I would HIGHLY recommend this place. Whether it’s a cocktail, appetizer or full course meal, you will NOT be disappointed. 5 out of 5 for this couple.

The atmosphere and service here is great, and saves this excellent bar from a lower score based upon good food, but not over the top food I had hoped. Because of the excellent atmosphere I’ll return and try other food choices.
The spaghetti and meatballs were not as I had hoped, they were good but I was expecting the sauce from Good Fellows. The flat bread and fondue platter were very good. Everything came fast and was well prepared and fresh!

This restaurant is simply amazing from the cool atmosphere, staff to the authentic and delicious food. No corners are cut here. It was the highlight of our trip. Tasha was a friendly and knowledgeable waitress making it an unforgettable experience for my husband and I. The only bad part is that we live 7 hours away! It would be a weekly hang out for us.

Love this place!!
One of the few pleasant surprises I’ve encountered this year.
The secret door on the wall entrance was cool and the dining area is very nicely done. The bar is great and the bartender even better!
Bobby made feel us feel welcome and made great recommendations on their food offerings.
I ordered the Bone-in pork chop, one of the 2 memorable pork chops I’ve had the last few years (the other from Seasons 52). It was cooked right, tender, juicy and just…get it!! 🙂
Also, the bruschetta is excellent!
Can be a meal by itself.
My coworkers ordered pasta dishes and they said their orders were delicious.
We will definitely be back when working in the area.

**Update 6/15/24** Sal’s has sold to new owners. Don’t know what the outcome will be for Sal’s.
*Update* Sal’s has a seafood menu added to their regular menu. It is excellent. The haddock with roasted red peppers and asparagus is absolutely delicious with large portions. A picture has been added. Live music is every weekend.
The theme is unique and much appreciated. It is decorated in a 1920’s Prohibition genre. The food is excellent. Service was great.
After visiting many times, I have had the Sirloin (perfection), Salsiccia Cacciatore (yummy), Tuscan Salmon, Minestrone, Roasted Red Gouda Soup, Italian Wedding Soup, Lobster Bisque, Bruschetta, Italian Lemon Cake, coffee, and wine. Our friends had the Trio sampler.
We were on the patio which has an overhead weather screen, nice shrubbery and trees around the parameter, and propane fire tables/dining tables.
Live jazz music from the time period made for a perfect evening. Highly recommend Sal’s Italian Eatery and Speakeasy.

Awesome, awesome, AWESOME!! We popped in for a quick drink and ended up staying for hours. Great atmosphere, food, staff and cocktails!! The jazzy piano/songstress combo was fantastic and the bar staff was friendly, attentive and engaging. Highly recommend to anyone in the area

Wish we could of stayed for the music. Really cute idea for a restaurant. All the staff is dressed like in a speakeasy. I was not a fan of the meatballs appetizer. Also the bread was a little dried out. The bruschetta was very good. I also ordered 3 sides and they were all good as well. My son got the lasagna and he said it was good.

was recomended this place by some folks. was really looking forward to this but all i can tell you is the food is good for what it is but for gods sakes skip the buffet its not a true buffet they got a guy behing it working we came on 10 4 2023. hot here like a half hour before the buffet closed went back for more the guy went mia so we did manage to get 2 plates on a buffet and the only thing on the so called buffet was spaghetti and alfreado and some pizza. how ever we will come back and order regular menu amd see if that changes the review any but the lunch buffet is totally not worth the 12 dollar price. how ever the decor is great and the alcohol selection is the most ive seen anywhere i been you want a drink this is thr place to belly up to the bar at. im not saying skip it nice place to have drinks and a quick biteor just visit with friends.

I had never heard of this place before my friends suggested it for lunch. The owners did a nice job decorating it as an old speakeasy. The food was outstanding. Our waiter did a fine job. The only drawback to my visit was how incredibly slow the food was to come out. There was only one other group of people in the place and our food came out in a timeline that would’ve indicated they had a full house.

Very cool atmosphere and a cool concept for a restaurant. Food was okay but the drinks were amazing especially the giggle water! We had a reservation and got seated immediately but our server turned out to also be the bartender. Which was not great service because she was very busy. We were seated at 630 but didn’t get our salads until just before 8pm and our food followed quickly after the salads. Had traveled to Ashland for a concert so we had to take our food togo to get to the concert on time.
