I came here today because I saw it recommended on social media. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.
First, the service attitude was poor. Multiple staff members were on their phones chatting while customers were dining. As first-time customers, we were not given any clear instructions. When we ordered the kimchi beef, we did not know it needed to be cooked in a foil tray and placed it directly on the grill. Instead of politely explaining, the server immediately blamed us and said, “Why would you put it on there?” We explained it was our first time and no one informed us, but the response still felt accusatory rather than helpful.
Second, the charcoal had a noticeable fuel/chemical smell, like lighter fluid, which affected the dining experience. It didn’t seem fully burned through before being used.
During the meal, I experienced stomach discomfort and diarrhea, which was concerning.
Additionally, the first round of beef tongue was good quality, but the second round was completely different in texture and appearance. When we asked, we were told it was “random cuts” — sometimes tip, sometimes root — but the difference felt too significant to be random.
Overall, both the service and food quality were disappointing. We came with expectations because of online recommendations, but unfortunately the experience did not match.
I hope management takes feedback seriously and improves both service training and food consistency.

CLOSED TUESDAY!! Awesome staff and food even with a two hour limit you’ll leave full. Pricey but worth it. Cold noodles were good and the spicy mixed vegetables.

Good food good vibe. Was the the waitlist for 30min to get in. Traditional northern Chinese bbq. Cold dishes and dipping sauce is on the sweeter side. Meat and seafood are fresh and tender. Would come back in the future. Come early to avoid long waits.

Service was decent and food was above average. The place was on the smaller side and you might have to wait for a while to be seated. The parking lot is decent sized but you may find yourself parking on the street. They have an amazing curry powder that goes with the meat!
The most difficult thing to take here is the price. It’s a little bit too expensive for what they offer.

Everything was very delicious and we were able to order a lot within the two hours. They kept our table cleanly and passed by often. The marinated ribs and salad mix was so good. Glad that they also had cold noodles on the menu. Yogurt at the end was a plus! Thank you, glad I got to try this while visiting california.

One of the best Asian self BBQ place. Its kinda of like korean BBQ but different. They use charcoal only with metal BBQ net, not like a grill plate. It also has a small ranger hood that u can lower to the grill to suck the smoke efficiently.
