Clean restaurant with good atmosphere and service.
We found this place by chance on the way through Arbuckle, and it turned out to be a gem. My mom was craving fried fish, so she ordered the mojarra frita, which came out perfectly crisp and flavorful. I got the fajitas mixtas (beef, chicken, and shrimp), which were generous enough to share, and my dad enjoyed a refreshing coctel de camarón.
But beyond the food, what really stood out were the stunning backlit acrylic artworks lining the walls. I spoke with our server and learned the owners are from Nayarit, and the images reflect that cultural pride—featuring traditional Wixárika (Huichol) attire, sacred symbols, and vibrant coastal scenes. The whole atmosphere feels like an homage to ancestral roots and spiritual connection.
We finished the meal with a lava cake and vanilla ice cream—warm, rich, and the perfect closing note to an already memorable experience.
It’s not just a restaurant—it’s a visual and sensory experience that honors Mexico’s coastal and Indigenous beauty. Definitely worth a stop if you’re anywhere nearby.
We will be back!
The camarones al ajo plate was set in a very traditional style with it’s salad, beans, and white rice soup. Although the rice portion was rather small and the salad was not very good. Typically the salad is made simply with iceberg lettuce, tomato, and onion. I see some older pictures where it shows that style but for some reason I got a different one. The shrimp had good flavor. I didn’t see the salsa Huichol, perhaps it’s upon request.
