When I first walked in the restaurant was empty the cashier was very friendly and patient I ordered the mullet meal that came with two sides. None of my food was Flavorful I added a dessert at the end of my meal. It was red velvet cake. It was not good. I also forgot to mention every drink in the soda machine was flat, and you could hardly never go wrong with soda, but the machine behind the counter and in the dining area the drinks were both flat

So I went into Dalton’s after reading very mixed reviews. The restaurant set up is awkward. You order and pay at the counter. Self serve your drinks and the food is brought to your table. Basically self serve. No other attention is given. The restaurant is clean and orderly. The breakfast menu is on the wall at a awkward angle. The cashier was a sweet shy young woman. I ordered the French toast breakfast, my husband ordered the biscuit and gravy breakfast. The portions were huge. The sausage gravy was cooked great. No uncooked flour taste with delicious sausage. There were three fluffy biscuits with a pile of gravy. In addition, my husband ordered scrambled eggs and bacon. Which was very good. My French toast was delicious. Someone knows that you still need to salt eggs even for French toast. My portion was huge. It came with bacon, scrambled eggs and hash browns. I will definitely come back again. Great food, great portions and a reasonable price.

I have had some good food in the past at the restaurant and most of the time eager to come back so I’m not sure what has changed. This isn’t the first instance we have had with poor wait times and food just not right.

I didn’t leave a review last time reflecting our experience because as a family owned business ourself I’m a firm believer in everyone has an off day, but we are here yet again. The last time we came in, my chicken livers were Undercooked and raw in the center to which I didn’t notice until after we had left and I didn’t have time to go back and raise the issue prior to my lunch break ending.

This evening we came in to eat supper with our three-year-old son around 6:30 at night. There was three other tables seated within the whole restaurant two of which already had their food. We put in our order and proceeded to sit down. We ordered a cheeseburger with fries, fried livers with fries, and a grilled cheese with fries for our son. Multiple to go orders were placed after us, and all of which were fulfilled before a single one of our dishes were brought out. After sitting for 20 minutes, I saw our food placed at the window. With a very eager, three-year-old getting antsy and hungry this was a relief, but unfortunately, the food proceeded to stay sitting in the window for the next 10 minutes…. again, while other orders were being filled.

By the time we got my son’s grilled cheese, it had sat at the window so long that it was no longer melted, but rather Re-solidified, And my fiancé’s burger was burnt (And it seems they have gone back to using the Flanders burgers which are nasty to begin with in my opinion). The burnt flavor was too much for fiancé to eat so he wasn’t able to finish it.

Aside from that, portions were decent with more fries than I could finish and were cooked well. And the one girl we spoke to on the way out was quite nice whereas everyone else seemed like they didn’t want to be there. I’m sure maybe the staff was tired and ready to call it a night but it is still off putting to be made feel like the are frustrated they are having to deal with you.

I hope the constructive criticism is taken well and the can improve for the better.

I had an overall great experience while visiting Daltons for breakfast! It is now my favorite restaurant to go for breakfast. The prices are very affordable and the food is excellent quality. The cashier provided great customer service. I was unaware that they provided table service. As soon as our breakfast was ready it was delivered to our table. We even had an employee stop by our table to see how our dining experience was going. I ordered the two egg breakfast with a biscuit, sausage and grits. It was delicious and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend visiting Dalton’s. I haven’t visited for lunch yet but definitely will soon.

Restaurant was a little cool. We had to go get sweaters out of car. Onion rings are not like what you would expect. Very thin and flimsy. Mine were cold. Had 6 pc buffalo wing. They were pretty good. Had fried steak and said it was pretty good. Bill was under $30. My second time there and second time not impressed. Cheerleaders and I suppose it was a radio show came in while we were eating. That kind of detracted from a quiet meal.

The only reason I gave a 5 for service is because the young man that waited on me was AWSOME, But for the lady in the back not so nice, Now that I know my way around the area now I will NEVER GO BACK THERE, definitely not worth the money (16.00) didnt even include drink with the combo???for the portions you get and that was the sorry poor boy I have ever had, could you put a pice of fish on that?? Had, I not had to eat something right then I would have asked for a refund, The time it took I understand cook to order but you breaded and made the onion rings twice and that sorry piece of fish should have been done before those onion rings.

Great burgers and sweet tea, onion rings are a bit salty for my taste but still really good! Wasn’t in there long but everyone seemed very nice and hard working.

Went for breakfast. Waitress/cashier was very rude. She sounded sick like she had a cold. Food wasn’t right. Had to wait on right order. Eggs had to be redone and only 2 small pieces of bacon for $3. When asked to replace eggs waitress was rude again.

Went to get a breakfast cup this morning expecting a homegrown restaurant to serve real ingredients. I was sadly mistaken. I would have been better off going to a school cafeteria. The eggs were either powdered or so thinned out with water that they turned to mush and the sausage was rubbery and probably a little under cooked.
I am all for supporting local business and want to see them thrive, but when the food is fake and frozen just like every other restaurant in town they make it a lot easier to go spend else ware for less money.
The one positive thing was that the lady at the window was very nice and attentive.
