My personal faves are the saag paneer with garlic naan and drunken noodles with tofu (they have meat options as well). I’m not a vegetarian and am a big fan of meat-based dishes but these 2 dishes are particularly amazing. I’ve had both from other local restaurants and have yet to find anywhere that compares. Just be aware when deciding on a spice level that Indian spicy is different than American spicy. I like a moderate amount of heat and always order spice level 2 (out of 5) and it’s perfect for those who love a bit of heat without having your mouth on fire for the whole meal.
Looking very forward to my next visit.
I got mixed vegetables and they put a ton of onions and bell peppers. Onions are used for cooking and adding flavor not to eat as the vegetable curry. The sauce was thick like to much spice and not and oil. You can also tell they buy boxed spice mix instead of adding the spices. I would not recommend for anyone if you are looking for authentic Indian food.
I ordered Chicken Chettinadu, after reading yelp reviews to see what people liked. What I got was the saltiest, greasiest, fattiest sauce I have ever tasted with chewy, overcooked pieces of chicken suspended in an oily ghee mixture with a few herbs floating around. I tried to skim off some of the red grease but it just kept rising to the top. The saltiness is so intense that it feels like I burnt my tongue. I tried to eat the chicken without the sauce, and it is still unpalatable.
We ordered pashwari naan which should be stuffed with white raisins and pistachios. Instead, it looks and tastes like a paste of red dye number 1 inside wet pizza dough. I am not exaggerating. Pictures attached.
So now we remember why we haven’t gone back—although, if it had been this bad last time I am certain we would have remembered that. It couldn’t have been this bad. Because I will never forget this big waste of $45 on $10 worth of salt, fat, and pickles.
The food was flavorful, savory and honestly, to die for! Its been a year and I have often longed for it. Whatever wizardry they have going on in the kitchen, works! The atmosphere was tasteful but not over the top. Very relaxing and comfortable.
My friend is now hooked on Indian food and Spice Indian Thai Bistro is now our go to pick when we decide to eat out. If I could give this place, the food, the staff, 6+ stars, I would.
It’s a late review, I know. I just hope that they survive this pandemic and that they come back strong. This place really was so amazing!!!
