We were craving some authentic South Indian food – especially dosa and idly—and ended up trying Dosa World. Right from the start, we were greeted by a very warm and welcoming host.
For starters, we ordered chicken soup, Gobi 65, and Mutton Sukka. Everything turned out really good. I was a bit skeptical about the mutton, as it can sometimes have a raw smell if not cooked well, but that wasn’t the case here at all. It was cooked perfectly and tasted great.
For the main course, we had masala dosa, idly with vada, and chicken Chettinad. All the dishes were delicious and full of flavour. It was also nice to know that they’re careful about allergies and can prepare chicken dishes without nuts if needed.
One small thing that could have made the experience even better would be some light Indian background music to enhance the atmosphere – but that’s just my personal preference.
Overall, it was a very good experience, and I can highly recommend this place.

Delighted to visit this restaurant, finally found authentic South Indian food that I truly crave as an Indian. I ordered the masala dosa and plain dosa, and both were simply delicious. Nothing fancy, just perfectly made. I could tell from the first bite that the food was prepared by a south Indian chef. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be visiting again soon to try other dishes. 🙂

No Doubt … Dosa World is the best place in Hamburg for South Indian food. On our first visit, we ordered Medu Vada, Kothu Porotta, Chicken Fried Rice, and Ghee Roast. Everything was delicious, including the sambar and chutney, which were top-notch. The menu has a lot of options for everyone.
The staff are incredibly passionate about their work. We requested to meet the chef to personally appreciate the food, and he was very down-to-earth and friendly. We felt so lucky, like we found our personal chef. He even agreed to make my favorite Pazhampori (Kerala banana fritters) on request. I hope they consider making Onam Sadya someday!
If you are coming with more than 7 people, they can make special dishes if you order ahead. After our first visit, we plan to go back every time we crave South Indian food. Highly recommend!

We had biryani, idly with chicken, prawns 65, and gobhi. We enjoyed all the dishes, but the prawns 65 lacked flavor.
As for the ambience, it wasn’t too fancy but fairly decent.

Was here on a Tuesday evening and it wasn’t crowded at all. The food was amazing, and the staff were super friendly. Definitely going to be my go-to spot for dosa, vada, and a perfectly brewed filter coffee!

It was overall a great experience, the food was great, prices were good and the staff was very attentive also frequent in serving dishes. You do not have to wait for long your food to be served. I went there with my family, very family friendly and kids friendly atmosphere.
Loved the food, at this price it is fulfilling.

The only negative sign is that no car parking available nearby. Thus avoid car bus stand is just 50 minutes away from it.
