I placed an order for two thin crust pizzas and a coupon deal (pizza, wings, and a liter of soda for $39.99). The pizzas arrived 1.5 hours later (after being told it would be under an hour) and were thick crust, uncut instead of the standard thin crust I’ve always received.
The wings were another disaster. I requested bone-in (which the lady said she’d honor as a favor) and they arrived half-cooked, gooey, and literally swimming in Italian dressing. When I called to clarify, I was told that “Italian dressing” is their garlic Parmesan sauce – which is a stretch at best.
When I asked to speak to a manager (I believe her name was Sarah), she immediately got defensive. Instead of listening, she blamed me, saying Rosati’s has over 10 crust types and that I should have been “specific” about wanting traditional thin crust. I’m sorry, but when someone says “thin crust” at Rosati’s, that’s always been square-cut, traditional thin – not thick pan pizza.
Her “solution”? To note my account. No apology, no accountability – just an attitude. When I brought up the wings being undercooked, she snapped back that I was “complaining after she did me a favor” by honoring the coupon.
To top it off, she started the call by claiming this was my “first order” despite the fact that she greeted me by name when I placed it and I order regularly.
For the record: I wasn’t looking for a freebie. I tipped nearly half the bill upfront because I appreciate good service. What I expected was accountability and basic customer service, and I got neither.
After this experience, I checked their online reviews – and sure enough, they rarely go above 2 stars. Now I understand why. If this is the “management” representing Rosati’s, it’s no wonder.
She sent to me a completely different order, without even calling to ask if I wanted to change it. The MANAGER (whose kind of person shouldn’t be managing any place) decided to make the order the way she wanted. I received a small pepperoni thin crust pizza and a medium pizza, totally diferent and with a different type of crust that we don’t like and didn’t order. I called to ask what I didn’t want because it was even missing some toppings, and I told her I could return it since it wasn’t what we ordered and Here’s the craziest part of this bad experience:
The manager came to my house… She yelled at me, been agresive, rude and enastable telling me we hadn’t ordered thin crust, insane cz she is sending the small pizza in thin crust) We handed the order back exactly as we received it, and she took it, saying she would refund us but in a very rude way, It’s been three days, and she hasn’t returned a single penny.
To top it all off, if I call her and ask for a refund, she’s rude, aggressive, and refuses to give us our money back. They hang up, insult us, and yell, even though she took the order and we’re left without food and without our money. It’s a complete scam, it’s robbery. This store should be shut down because she scams others customers too and sends orders however she wants, If you don’t accept she steals your money.
Now, reading the reviews, it seems she’s used to doing this and is a very mentally unstable person to be so aggressive and come to your house to demanding you return the order without giving you your money back, yelling and being aggressive. It’s irresponsible and a terrible experience. ROSSATIS CORPORATION should take action because this is something she’s doing to the costumers, Rossatis and Rossatis costumers deserve better representation.
My deep dish pizza had holes in the crust, so whoever made my pizza got lazy and patched it up with other pieces of dough. It was also half cut, lopsided undercooked & burnt all at the same time. Get that kid out of that kitchen.
About a 20% increase in prices.
Additional increase for not using cash.
Lower quality of product, less sauce means less taste.
Crust (bottom) thinner and drier
Crust (pan handle) thinner and not doughy like it used to be, it was kinda like a breadstick.
No product at lunch time, only had cheese slices but had to pay full price like it had toppings. I was told they don’t charge for toppings.
Payment system not asks you for how much you want to tip, (For turning around and grabbing a slice)
I’ll still go there as it’s the better, most convenient place for a lunch time slice, just not very happy about it.
