Located inside the grocery store. I ordered chicken adobo specifically bc I saw a review about the grease. I also got lechon kawali. Not sure if they changed the recipe since, but the adobo looked good and tasted great. Meat fell off my bone and was super juicy and tender. The lechon kawali was really crispy. I like fat, but I didn’t notice an uncool amount of grease. And imma just say…if it doesn’t have fat, it probably won’t be good.

I’ll be honest, I haven’t tried a ton of Filipino food before, but I went with a Filipino friend and he said it was pretty authentic.

Filipino Express is tucked inside Oriental Store, so the setup is more of a casual, food court style. You order at the counter, grab your food when it’s ready, and then find a seat. The ambiance is simple and laid-back. I noticed more customers get takeout. The aunties working behind the counter are super efficient, and the food not only looks good but tastes great.

Oh my damn finally found some Filipino food in the area and reminds me of the stores back in the DC area .

Tucked away in a grocery store is Filipino Express which serves some authentic food..

No real menu besides the pic above the counter…

There is more food to offer than wahts on the wall of pics.

I ended ordering the Lumpia, Pork Singang, Chicken Adobo, Pancit, and lechon kawali and man oh man it did not disappoint.

The lumpia were decent sized and crispy and delicious.

The Pork Singang has the right amount of sour and savory and was yummy.

Chicken adobo was flavorful but a lil bit dry but flavor was there .

Pancit is Pancit.. cant mess that up really .

The lechon was crispy and good… fat to meat ratio was a bit more on the fatty side but overall good .

I will definitely be back to try the other items especially the Kare Kare

This place was a little confusing to find. It’s inside the Oriental Store! The food here was incredible! First time having Filipino food and desserts. Even the grocery store had so many unique specialty items. The owners are so genuine and sweet. The pricing is really good for the portions.

Delicious food! We ordered takeout from here for the first time last week and I’m already looking forward to having it again. Everything we tried was delicious, and the portion sizes for the price were great too. We tried the lumpia, pancit bihon, bicol express, chicken adobo, and lechon kawali. If I had to pick two favorites I’d probably go with the lechon, which was crispy and fatty and savory just like I’d hoped, and the bicol express, which just fell apart in your mouth. Probably not ideal food if you’re on a diet, but seriously tasty and made for great leftovers for lunch later as well.

So many tasty traditional Filipino dishes to choose from. The place was clean, plenty of seating, and generous portions. The flavors were on par with what mom makes at home, prices are reasonable as well.

A very disappointing experience overall. The food was awful, the chicken adobo was greasy swimming in so much oil that we had to drain it ourselves. Pancit tasted like cheap cup noodles. We also noticed several issues with the billing. The prices didn’t match what was listed on Google and the item names on our bill were completely different from what we ordered. When we brought this to the staff’s attention they couldn’t offer a clear explanation, simply stating that the price was the same regardless of the name. The only redeeming part of the meal was the delicious dessert bilo bilo.

So everywhere I travel I try to find a Filipino restaurant/store. This seemed to be the only one in the area. I was looking forward to trying dinuguan but it didn’t look like they had any. I did try the pork adobo which was flavorful and the pinakbet. I like it had a lot of veggies. I did get Shanghai lumpia which was okay. They gave a huge serving of rice. I couldn’t eat it all so I brought it back home. It was enough to feed 4 people. I wanted to buy the bread but didn’t have enough money on me but it looked good.

What a wonderful experience at this local gem. The owner Mack and staff were very gracious, generous and patient with us. We took the easy way out and asked for their advice. The next thing we knew food just kept arriving at the table. Everything was absolutely amazing. I would recommend you try this gem out with an open mind. You will not be disappointed. I guarantee it.

Mack, Glenda and the rest of the staff thank you for your hospitality.

You do not see a lot Filipino restaurants and stores compared to other Asian establishments. This is very true on the East Coast vs the West. With that this place is a great spot to by Filipino food brands and get a quick home cooked Filipino meal!
