Beautifully Unique
Something has to be done about this. This is like the 4th time I been to this place but I’m done! It’s always something no matter what time of day you go. I ordered something simple. Jerk chicken and cabbage. Tell me why the chicken is old and dried out and the food is cold at 3:30pm in the afternoon!!! This doesn’t make any sense and for the life of me I don’t understand why on earth I am tasting raw onion in the cabbage. Why do establishments not care about the quality of food they’re giving out!? Especially at a Caribbean establishment. I am disgusted and disappointed at the same time. Just a waste of time and money!

Not inviting. Located in a shady part of Ft. Lauderdale. The place is run down and the food doesn’t look appealing. I didn’t spend much time here, I visited to get a spiced bun for a coworker, but refused to purchase food.

I had a little boy shout at me and behave in a very disrespectful manner yesterday. You don’t have to worry about me returning to this place. I’ll be taking my dollars elsewhere. Save the whole spill about training and service standards. It’s obvious from the prevailing comments, that this the norm at your establishment. Legends in the same plaza is kool and there is a Golden Krust closer to Sawgrass, where the food and service are decent. This boy has a major chip on his shoulder. He behaved in the most unbelievable manner. Rude and loud. Shouting at me. I really was shocked that he was acting that way. There are all these reviews detailing the awful customer service. I will not be returning. My son also asked that I no longer bring him food from there.

Not all Golden krust restaurants are created equal.
I am a frequent flyer of Golden krust I absolutely love their food… But this particular location is doing it wrong.
Ordered the jerk chicken.
No jerk chicken on the warmer, so they had to go to the back to get me what I presumed was fresh hot jerk chicken, only to be totally disappointed.
They gave me my tray of food, I paid, and went on my way…
Sat in the car began to eat my food only to realize that the jerk chicken was cold, tough and dry, a clear indicator this was yesterday’s chicken. :/
Went back, let them know the chicken was cold… I asked for a replacement… They were about to go to the back to get me more yesterday’s chicken so I said no thank you and requested the stew chicken on the food warmer tray area, at least I figured that would be nice hot and fresh.
Got my tray of food and went on my way again…
Got to the car, tasted the stew chicken… Lukewarm at best… The quality of the rice, was also terrible… It does not appear that this location is using Golden krust franchise approved ingredients… Doesn’t even taste like Golden krust.
I later realized why the food was lukewarm… The food warmer by design is supposed to have all trays inserted in to it so that it traps the steam which is what keeps the food hot…
The food warmer had several trays missing so the steam was simply exiting, not keeping the food hot.
Keep in mind this also open another door to the possibility of contamination and or poisoning altogether.
Long story short, corporate needs to visit this store and re-train everybody.
Because the key to a successful franchise is consistency throughout.

I don’t normally do this but I had to share this. There is no option for zero star so I’ll settle for one star..I should have known better than to order here as I have heard that most things here are warmed up and resell until done because the food is normally not fresh. I was in the plaza today and my mother needed soup and pattie so I stopped by. The meat in the chicken soup was boil out almost beyond recognition and the pattie speaks for itself. The picture attached is supposed to be chicken pattie and it was warmed for 20seconds and from the look, this pattie is NOT FRESHLY MADE. THIS IS OVERNIGHT OR A FEW NIGHTS LEFT OVER PATTIE. Now I am posting a few mails to the city as I am stucked in my bathroom while doing this review…full time now this establishment starts giving customers fresh food and patties and dash weh or give away the left overs and stop warm up and resell the stale food and patties…

Service at this place is disgraceful! The young man that works here have a horrible attitude. I usually avoid visiting some these Caribbean restaurants for that very seem reason and I’m from the Caribbean. It’s Dam good thing I wasn’t CEO of Golden krust, cause would have told him to punch out immediately and go home and never return. Train your staff and teach propper customer service decorum.
